CazzaVR 0 Posted March 27, 2007 Sorry to see that mate :( Should be pretty easy to fix though. I take it the deer didn't survive? :(
nocrap 0 Posted March 27, 2007 The thing launched about 3 metres into the air, very luckily away from the car as if not i think it may have ended up coming through the screen!

CazzaVR 0 Posted March 27, 2007 Blimey! Defo would've been a right-off! They're hefty creatures- I remember a few years ago the husband of one of my teachers was killed by a stag which jumped over a wall and hit his motorbike.

Jim 2 Posted March 28, 2007 Oooh feck!! Thats a nasty one mate :( The main thing is that the car is repairable and you walked away unscathed.. but that sucks :(
nocrap 0 Posted March 28, 2007 Personally i blame it all on Supercharged who said to me on Sunday that it'd be worth getting a front end respray at some point!
mrbeige 0 Posted March 28, 2007 Noooo need Tim. :( Glad you're ok and it's fixable eh! How fast were you going? Private Road?
nocrap 0 Posted March 28, 2007 It was on the 1 mile stretch of road that runs between my house and my mums after coming back from there to home. I wasn't doing much along there (no where near what i sometimes do luckily) must have been around 40mph on a 60mph road, i'd also just slowed and overtaken a couple of people that were obviously looking at something across the field but they didn't think to wave my speed down as they watched these massive beasts sprinting to the road (enough of that anyway, i've got to stop thinking of 'What ifs')!! So as I hit the deer whilst braking I was probably going between 15 - 30 mph.......
chrishill 0 Posted March 28, 2007 road kill for tea then... hope you get it sorted out soon mate, glad it wasnt any worse!
Louie Lungbubble 0 Posted March 28, 2007 That chef bloke would've had a field day with that much roadkill. As above though, nightmare, but could've been much worse. Picking lumps of fur covered venison out the front can't be tons of fun though.
Jim Bowen 1 Posted March 28, 2007 did you exchange details with the deer?

herisites 0 Posted March 28, 2007 road kill for tea then... hope you get it sorted out soon mate, glad it wasnt any worse! did it get up and run off? or is it now in the boot of your car waiting to get munched  Actually isn't it true that if you hit something you have to drive on and not allowed to eat it, but the person behind can pick it up and eat it?? Im sure i heard that on top gear or something :? Unlucky though mate, i hit a badger once in my old car and they pack a punch so i cant imagine hitting a deer! CLICKY
