Jim Bowen 1 Posted June 12, 2007 are they only held on by the wheel nuts? is this normal? i can take a wheel off and then the disc is free to spin etc?
vwdeviant 0 Posted June 12, 2007 Nope should have one/ two screws holding them to the hub.. but main force is via wheel bolts running through discs and hubs... Often screws are snapped come disc change time though.... One of my fronts has the same problem wich makes changing wheels a Royal PITA chasing the disc with a wheel bolt... vr6storm 0 Posted June 12, 2007 they are held on by the wheel nuts and 1 securing screw............chances are this could well be missing tho........but the disc will spin unless the car is in gear

Goldie 2 Posted June 12, 2007 Its just a locating screw which corrode badly and often break.. As vr6storm has said, stick it in gear and your laughing..
