corrado value??

Recommended Posts

hi all, i was just wondering what my corrado would be worth if i were to sell it at this time, it's a :

1994 L Corrado 2.9 VR6.(ABV)

It's finished in metallic sherry pearl which is immaculate bar the odd dint and stone chip.

It has got 137k on the clock but has full service history including the first 12 stamps from VW dealers and always serviced meticulously after that at specialists, with a folder full of reciepts to prove.

It has the late spec interior finished in grey leather which is in very good condition.

It also comes with the private plate 'H6 VWC', or "H6 VolksWagenCorrado"

Has tax till end of March and MOT till end of May.

Cat1 Toad Alarm system.

Magnex stainless steel exhaust, (sounds good) and a K&N filter for induction roar!lol!

Koni adjustable shocks with Koni lowering springs all the way round giving a smooth but sporty drive.

Car sits on the standard speedlines in vgc, with Toyo proxes t1R's all round with lots of tread (front 2 new!)!!

Fully functioning active rear spoiler, rises at 60mph!

Has had the Lupo wiper conversion with new aero blades from VW last week.

Timing chains, guides and tensioners done at 115 k and head gasket at 135k!

Car pulls really strong, posted a 14.8 sec 1/4 mile at elvington.

Recently had:

New radiator

New wheel bearings all round (from VW after gsf crap failed after 6 weeks!!)

New front dics/pads (brembo)

New spark plugs and HT leads (from VW)

New oil pressure switches

Gearbox oil change using redline mt.

New track rod end and been 4 wheel aligned.

Had oil/filter/coolant change 2k ago.

Car comes with a 6 branch after-market exhaust manifold (not fitted yet) and a set of metal german plates! Which are for show use only as plod keep informing me with £30 fines!!!

Any ideas???? Much appreciated, thanks

Yeah, i'd say around about £3500.....maybe a tad less

You gotta remember that the value of the car will drop dramatically if people have to buy it and instantly spend large amounts of money on them. But the work you've done no one will have to do anything straight away.

The high milage isn't that bad, you've said yourself that the HG and timing chains have been done....I'd have no problem buying a higher milage car if the owner could prove to me that work such as this has been done, as well as knowing that it'd had regular oil changes .

The head gasket and chain work will add value but I think that around 3k is still the most you are going to see.

Need to get Top Gear to do another feature!!

I think you may be able to achieve slightly more than £3.5k considering the registration, the recent work carried out, and the leather interior. If it's in really good condition and drives as it should then i'd be asking for around £4k, it'll be worth it to the right buyer as there's an awfull lot of bad Corrados on the market.

Due to their age there are aot of bad and average corrados knocking around, not many in very good condition, so i think that one in good nick should command a higher premium, regardless of mileage. Because lets face it, corrados aren't the easier or cheapest cars to fix when they go wrong, so one that is already sorted will be a big bonus.

Looking back i would i have i of spent an extra grand when i got mine, would of saved me alot of hassle and money

Hi all

Glad to hear the news that good corrados are difficult to find. Should make selling mine easier. In everyones opinion I am guessing I will be better waiting for a few months before putting it up for sale. I have a dog coming and 2 kids(2kids are here already), and the mrs has a Corrado, so can't justify keeping mine.

Would I be a lunatic to change it for a Legnum VR4, estate obviously.

or can I find something for about 3K that is an estate that would suit the purpose.

Your thoughts.

Dic
