STU175

STU175's Alpine White G60. Almost time for bigger injectors and remap .....

Recommended Posts

I think it's the first time ever seeing a blacked alternator which is a nice touch. An engine bay as clean as the outside! That's a tonne of effort. Congrats on the results! Looks beautiful.

Great to meet you today and have to say the car looks as good in the flesh as it does in the pics. You can see a huge amount of effort has gone into it. Got to admit I am now fighting the urge to smooth my bay.

Depends on how much time I have to spend away with work, I'm hoping to take some time of over summer and crack on with it, I'd like to get everything sprayed so its just a matter of putting it back together over winter :)

Oh right. I've heard nothing but good reports other than this of their stuff. I'm running a drive shaft and CVs of theirs and so far been pretty good, although not much more mileage done than you admittedly. Glad you got a replacement out of them though.

720 miles done!

I replaced the speedo drive and sensor and its allmost fixed...untill i hit a large bump in the road then it jumps to about 90 then back to proper speed.

More investigation needed...any ideas?

So onto the window rattles that have been driving me mad.

Had the door cards off and found the runner has come off the glass both sides doh..

Reglued and refitted and is alot better but now it seems it need new rollers as they rattle a bit.

With the windows now a lot better i searched out a rattle behind the rear quarter panel which turned out to be an old 5p sitting at the bottom making a right racket lol

After that happy id cured the rattles on my way home the rear brakes start squealing abit when braking.

Back to the garage wheels off i find the caliper carrier has a slight bit of movement.

Check the bolts and they done up a bit tighter and solved the problem.think where i sprayed them i didnt mask off the area the bolt head sits on and the paint has now worn away leaving them loose.....

Paranoid about finding this i have now gone over nearly every nut and bolt under the whole vehicle to check they're ok. didnt find any thing else major but happier now ive checked..

Corrados, theres always something lol

That's a very nice G60 you have there STU.

White is the nicest colour for Corrados in my opinion.

I remember seeing a white one all tricked out on holiday in Weymouth.

Both me and my son were blown away by it.

We both sat there admiring it from the comfort of my red one that I had just bought.

Mine didn't look a patch on this one and quietly to myself I was thinking why the hell didn't I wait and look around longer.

I had a feeling my little lad was thinking the same thing

I think that style of wheel you have suits the Corrado best of all as well, so in my mind you have the perfect looking G60, hopefully this will ease any pain she brings you.

I notice you have JMR sticker. I am presuming that they charge the earth for everything. Any feed back you can give me would be helpful.

Thanks.

thanks its good to here after years of work:thumbleft:

I had the supercharger, big valve head and setup done by JMR and cant recommend them enough. I done the rest.

I wouldn't say they charge anymore than any other specialist and have never heard a bad word said about him like some of other "specialists".

are you looking to have some work done?
