nocrap 0 Posted April 3, 2008 OK! getting nowhere slowly here! The lady i need to talk to (Louise) is away but i've spoke to the first lady that i chatted with last week (Lisa). Again she said that she would need to get back to me, but in the mean time to call Road Runner, this is the company that actually supplies Magnex UK. Basically the person at RR wasn't able to help as 'They don't get into selling individual component parts'.... http://www.roadrunnermotorsport.co.uk for reference.... Think i might have get out the welder!

zak 0 Posted April 3, 2008 it was extortionate but i needed my exhaust on urgently at the time so had no option. On a plus point the exhaust does fit really well with the bracket compared to the temporary improvisation i was using at the time.
nocrap 0 Posted April 3, 2008 OK i've spoken with them again! Basically she said up until now they haven't sold these seperately but they would do. The price she quoted was £30 for the mount and £9.40 for delivery! I'm not willing to pay that so i said that i'd call back if i wanted to take this any further. Guess i'll just attempt to butcher the standard one!
CazzaVR 0 Posted April 3, 2008 That's daylight robbery for a small metal bracket! Gonna take mine to the local Longlife custom exhaust centre and get a quote.

CazzaVR 0 Posted April 3, 2008 Thanks, Dave- that would be brilliant :) Anyone got a pic/dimensions for the rear bracket?
CazzaVR 0 Posted April 3, 2008 This is the only one I could find. It's the piece above the bottom left clamp/jubilee. It basically replaces the standard rear hanger, because the rear hanger on the Magnex backbox points straight back instead of sideways, like the standard exhaust. daves16v 1 Posted April 4, 2008 I can go so far with that pic but ideally need dimenions.
Supercharged 2 Posted April 4, 2008 So are we talking about the hanger that is at the very rear of the car?? I have a standard MK3 one that might fit - I will have a look over weekend and post part number if it does...
nocrap 0 Posted April 4, 2008 The hanger is the one below the short straight section of pipe on the left of the pic
Supercharged 2 Posted April 4, 2008 Yes but where physically on the car does this fit - at the very back near the tailpipe??
mrbeige 0 Posted April 4, 2008 I have the bracket off my car, in the garage. Tim has asked me to get the dimensions off it, so I shall do that tonight :salute:
