vwdeviant 0 Posted December 29, 2008 OK guys am getting my KW's fitted to the Valver very soon... So advice on what's the best top mounts to go for front and rear? Do I go with VAG VR ones? It's a 2.0l16v late model, if makes a difference... Also going with VAG A-Arms as it's all coming apart... is there a difference between late and early valver arms? Jim Bowen 1 Posted December 29, 2008 i just put KW1's on my corrado too, its a VR though i went with all new top mounts from VW, in fact i orded more than i needed and have all the washers, spacers and sleeves from the rear mounts spare (was no point changing them) it only came to £75 ish for all 4 and thats with me wasting money again
Jim Bowen 1 Posted December 29, 2008 the old rear rubber bits didn't look worn to me, until i compared them to the new ones, they were easy 5mm smaller in height
vwdeviant 0 Posted December 29, 2008 So you happy now? ;)
Jim Bowen 1 Posted December 29, 2008 no  not been able to get it all setup yet, camber, tracking etc and i'm still convinced something else is wrong with the front end. Not really driven far since fitting, but the suspension is so much better than before, much nicer over bumps and is plenty of height adjustment (raised my front and can get my foot in the gap now) "SCENE" just a shame my car steers all over the place
Lufbramatt 0 Posted December 30, 2008 have you actually driven another one yet to compare?
vwdeviant 0 Posted December 30, 2008 BACK ON TOPIC... Do I go buy VAG VR Topmounts? Or stay with 16v ones??? Help! Want to get the car booked in to have the KW's done soon as wheels etc rides on getting this done...
mariojoshi 1 Posted December 30, 2008 just come round here and we'll do it! Not wanting to get your hands dirty in your old age?!
Jim 2 Posted December 30, 2008 I went with the VR ones for my valver and they're fine but they do make the front of the car sit a little taller - not a problem for you if you're going for fully adjustable suspension though!
vwdeviant 0 Posted December 30, 2008 just come round here and we'll do it! Not wanting to get your hands dirty in your old age?! HAHA you don't have alignment stuff though Josh! I went with the VR ones for my valver and they're fine but they do make the front of the car sit a little taller - not a problem for you if you're going for fully adjustable suspension though! Cheers Jim, was that front and back?
Jim 2 Posted December 30, 2008 I didn't realise there was a difference on the back, but I think I just went with valver rears!
Toad 0 Posted December 30, 2008 The rears aren't different AFAIK.
