depends what has been done to engines really.

my guys mk2vr6 got 206bhp but has had lots done to the engine! apparently the cams make a big difference to the torque too. we thought the mk 2 had 268's but stealth reckoned it had 264's cause it makes lots of torque really early. although apparently you would get a higher bhp out of 268's at bout 220bhp when it made 206bhp.

we asked about r32 engines and technically that should be faster in the c! due to the golf not being able to put the power down and just spinning up where as due to the c being heavy it can handle the engine better.

technicaaly it could be lots of reasons.

the corrado has a lower final drive so will accelerate faster than the golf :D

Mk3 Golf :nono:

ah i see we are talking standard engines in the cars they are meant to be in!

the mk 3 golf drives like a jelly mould though on standard suspension. and is horrible hard on non standard!

Maybe its just the ones round Haverhill or Cambridge city centre that are just a bit too [tim westwood] "UK STYLE!"[/tim westwood] for my liking. The only ones I've liked have been the subtle ones from PhatDubs I've seen at a few shows - but then they were supercharged

yes, but thats why he pointed out the almost identical power to weight ratios!

Don't forget the Mk3 Golf VR6 drivers inferiority complex weighs very heavily.....
