Mr Sands 0 Posted May 9, 2010 I can vouch for this as the guinea pig for the refurbished part: so far, brill. ABS light now goes out and stays out as should do! Well done Dave and Graham, another excellent DG service! :notworthy:

Yandards 0 Posted May 10, 2010 Brilliant job. Now if we can only find the supplier that makes the underbonnet foam 'waffle' pattern sheets so I can replace the stuff on my early cars..

mrbeige 0 Posted May 11, 2010 I can stick some of these together and paint them black for you  Made from the same stuff aren't they?
nemesis360 0 Posted May 11, 2010 What does the Brake pedal position sensor do? Funnily enough it measures the position of the brake pedal...which tells the abs system how hard your braking. If your popping in on saturday we can scan the codes for you FOC

ozowen 2 Posted May 12, 2010 I reckon this could be my ABS problem. Might have to bring the original rather than the VRT, my light stays on on first start then after about 20 mins if I then restart the car the light will go out and stay out :cuckoo:
Bullfinch 0 Posted May 12, 2010 I can vouch for this as the guinea pig for the refurbished part: so far, brill. ABS light now goes out and stays out as should do! Well done Dave and Graham, another excellent DG service! :notworthy: I reckon I was car no.2. On having a shake down run following the chains and tensioners work the ABS light came on and it was traced to a brake pedal sensor issue. Hence I've been told they fixed this. Hopefully I will find out this Saturday when I pick the car up.

dukest 0 Posted May 12, 2010 D or G, can you drive the car without the sensor in situ? I guess so and the light will just stay on right?
volksworld13 0 Posted May 12, 2010 i dont think you can as all vacume will be lost in the servo, and you have no brakes, some one to confirm this, i havent tried it, but there is a seal on the sensor/servo ,to prevent vacume loss.
dukest 0 Posted May 12, 2010 ah ok, cheers, that makes sense..
nemesis360 0 Posted May 13, 2010 John, the servo will not work with the sensor missing unfortunately
