Cool. Good for you mate, when I tried, at my local Ford dealership in Germany they wouldn't sell me the small cheaper part, they insisted on selling me the whole pipe its attached to for loaaaads of cash.

The one I bought of eBay fitted and works fine.

Ok, weird, the parts guy I spoke to here showed me in the catalog it was split into 3 parts, the flap/valce itselfe, and a small pipe, and then the thingy with the wiring attatched to it :) (he was happy to sell all the parts individually though :)).

Good it worked out anyhow - I guess it will brake again eventually :) lol

i believe you can, i think the AAA engines in the US have a direct pipe, instead of a breather valve. Perhaps someone can confirm?

Is it not mainly an environmental thing?

The gases are truly noxious and carcinogenic (dont get them in the car!).

I would be embarassed knowing my car was belching out that stuff into a country known for its almost pristine natural beauty and clean air. (Just my opinion).

Maybe you are in the oil industry?

You are correct - I am in the oil industry :)

However it was only startet - not run...lol....:)

I guess it's mainly to re-introduce oil "damp" into intake to reburn it, so it can get the right emission ;)

In the end I guess it will all go out in my prestine environment - to bad I'm not so fond of 1.1l or less engines (if not sitting on a motorbike)....;)

Only joking with you Mawrick, anyway.

The (Scottish) nationalist party are always saying "look at Norway - we could be like them - they have oil of their own, too!" :bad-words:
