TBH im pretty damn smitten with Corrados :luvlove: . If i had to swap MY 8v Corrado i would swap it for a VR6 Corrado 8)

Apart from the ugly front end, I really like Boras. They handle so much better than the Golf.

 

343mm brakes, nice. You can never have too much braking power

 

Thanks Kev, yeah it feels a fair bit stiffer then R32 Golf's I've driven, very happy with it, do get some funny looks when I'm chucking it about though, think most people think I'm a Vicar late for a service or something.

 

Your right about the front end, a bit like Marmite, that's why I put on the rediculous brakes to draw attention away from it :)

I would never ever ever ever swap my Rado for anything, but if I came into a bit of money, once I'd spent most of it on her, I may get an Astra VXR for a daily driver.

Yeah they're a bit of an overlooked classic, a lot of people don't even know Audi made S2s, all they've heard of is the RS2. They were like a proto-Impreza/Evo in my mind, 2.2l Turbo, 4wd etc. I'm not sure who owns that silver one in my pic (it was at GTI Spring Fest Santa Pod when I took that photo) but I know I've seen it in a photo in one of the mags parked outside DG Autotech. Great looking motor...

Overlooked, not half! Ben had all sorts of trouble trying to insure the damn thing, because the girl on the phones didn't know what one was and couldn't find it on the system!

Been thinking about one of them as well. Love the engine and they dont have as much issues as the old coupe with getting body bits etc. In fact Im of to Pistonheads right now to see whats out there.

Ben used to have a Quattro Coupe (I think, the one with the 2.2L in-line 5), which sounded amazing and was a wonderful car, I think that's why he went for the S2 now actually, cos it's like an updated version :)

The S2 is a gorgeous car though, very nice. Not as rumbly as the old Audi and doesn't rock when you rev it at the lights but still, if I didn't have a Corrado I might be tempted :lol:

The boot's a fair old size actually. A little bigger than the Corrado I think. I don't know actual figures sorry, but hope that's of some help. :)

Haha I've been looking at the same 2, great minds and all that! Almost contacted the guy with the red one because he wants to px for a 'Corrado Storm' and I saw his motor down at Retro Show, looked pretty good. Wants top money though and it's got a cloth interior and is an estate. Like you I'd prefer a silver one and a coupe if possible, so had also been looking at the other one in your link. Interstellar mileage though!
