what size tyres?

205/50/16 Tyres - Advice please

I have set of Azev C's 7.5j x 16 after checking tyre calculator was planning on putting on 215/40/16 as nearest match to overall std size. A local garage has a set of 205/50/16 's i can have at a steal. can anyone advise for or against giving them a try, Or i see a few go with 195/45/16 ??

Think you'll need a 45 profile with 16s to have the rolling diameter correct. Could be talking bollocks though :lol:

I think 45 on 16s is about as close as you can get to standard, its what i have got and theres no problem

I think 205/45/16 is what you want...

 

50 profile is too big and 195's will be a bit too streched on a 7.5J

 

40 profile will be too uncomfortable I reckon too.

205/45 is best all rounder

 

205/40 is okay

195/40 is okay

I've just gone for 205/45/16 on 7.5j - they sit well on the Corrado, look the part and offer a decent ride.

 

I came from 195/45/16 but the stretch was too much for my liking, and the ride a little crashier.

i had 205/40/17 on other rims and didnt like the crashy ride and tramming so hoped to avoid that, going by your comments the 205/45 's will be going on.cheers
