Is the sunroof motor working properly on tilt and slide? Is it an easy changeover do you know? Mines the usual tilt but no slide. Thanks.

Alex_G60_Fanatic, call it £3.50 P&P? Lemme know if that's OK, and I'll PM you payment details... :)

Sam.I, the motor is just a motor... if your roof isn't sliding, but is tilting both up and down, then it's probably the mechanism that's broken, not the motor, as the motor is obviously working in both directions to lift and lower the tilt.... There's a rather good guide on the forum somewhere that will show you how to repair this... I'll sell you the motor if you want, but I'm pretty sure you'd be wasting your money... 8) However, to test the sunroof motor is a doddle... flick out the interior light and undo the 2 screws underneath it which hold the housing up to the roof. Under it you'll see the sunroof motor, and it's held onto the mechanism by 2 large screws. Make sure you have the sunroof in the closed position before you remove the motor if you're going to swap it over, else you'll struggle to get it lined up again if you're swapping the motor. Once you've removed the motor, you can test it by simply plugging it back into the wiring without it connected to the mechanism. It should spin for a while and then stop when you press the button to raise the roof. It should then spin for a while and then stop when you press to lower the roof. If you then press and hold the lower button again, it should spin for quite a while as it would do while sliding the roof back, and then stop on it's own. Once it thinks it's opened the roof fully, you can press the raise button again and it should spin the motor as it would try to close the roof, and then stop back at the fully closed position. If your motor successfully does this, then it's the roof mechanism that's borked and needs repairing, not the motor. If it doesn't, then get back to me and I'll sell you the one I have which does do all of the above! 8)

How do Ian, interested in the below parts inc p+p...

Can you manage a pic of the servo vac pipe just so I'm sure it has everything I need? I'm actually just after the rubber end that fits onto the inlet manifold as long as it has no splits?

And would you be willing to sell the air box top (Cover) on it's own without the actual box (Lower part)?

Cheers, Neil.
