ChrisL 18 Posted November 15, 2012 There is a cover on the bottom of the vr6 engine with the VW logo on it, you can see it with the passenger wheel off. What's behind it and is it full of oil behind there? Cheers
Goldie 2 Posted November 16, 2012 Is the Logo about a 2" diameter? If so, you are looking at the end of the gearbox...
ChrisL 18 Posted November 16, 2012 can this be removed or is it full of fluid behind it?
jamiehamy 0 Posted November 16, 2012 As Goldie said, sounds like the end of the gearbox, but it's on the siude of the gearbox, not the bottom of the engine? It might look like it was once green and yes, it'll be full of fluid. You might actually get away taking it off if the car is jacked up as the fluid will be over to the drivers side. Why do you want it off? You'll be lucky to get it back on once it's off, they are on tight and will be damaged on removal.
ChrisL 18 Posted November 16, 2012 I was going to take it off and powder coat it with all the other bits thats all. Cheers for the help but I'll probably leave it on.
