top mount bolt removal!

Does anyone know if you can buy the vw tool that removes the nut thats on top of the top mount as am trying to fit my new coilovers and ive tried everything I can think off and the whole thing still keeps moving round its getting on my tits

You need a compressor and air gun, or impact gun to do this job ideally. Makes the job a piece of ****. :)

Spark plug socket with hex around the top will also do it, and a long Allen key to go down the middle

or a lambda sensor removal tool/socket of the appropriate size

Impact driver, hammer and suitable socket is a good cheap alternative to an air gun.

Allen key and a deep set ring spanner work just fine

An appropriate sized socket with 2 flats ground on the sides parralel the the square drive so as not to weaken the socket too much held with an adjustable spanner and an allen key. Put masking tape on top of the wing to prevent scratches
