What have you spent on your C?

Recommended Posts

Prompted by Kev and Kieron both claiming to have spent the equivalent of the national debt of a small country on their C's.....

I was just wondering what everyone has spent on their C since they've had it? (Not counting petrol, insruance else it would get too depressing!).

Mine would be:

FK's £550

Recaro's £600

Loom/switch for Recaro's £80

Schrick £1,100

Stereo £250

Lupo wipers £50

Headlight loom £35

Mats £45

Swissol stuff ~£100

Grill £40

Door handle £30

Clear repeaters £10

Spare set of rear lights £25

Tyres x 4 £300

VT mounts £200

Speakers/Sub/Amp/Audioscape door pods/wiring £850

New rear plate surround £40

Alloys £900

Tyres £350

BMC CDA induction kit £120

Momo steering wheel & boss £90

Momo gear knob £20

Audi TT gear shift surround £20 (I think)

Radiator, thermostat, thermostat housings, temp senders £250

New sump and gasket £60

Supercharger £2350

VDO Gauge panel £130

Spare set of Refurbed Speedlines £150

Another set of rear lights £30

Nice.

A nice collection of car cleaning products that probably adds up to about £50 :)

Want to buy some nice wheels and get a Pioneer MP3 head unit when funds permit.

Thats about it so far!

Don't worry guys, the aim wasn't to compete at who's spent the most.

I wouldn't stand a chance against most of you *serious* modders - I was just curious as to what my total came to over 18 months.

Let me think (approx costs):

PiperCross Viper induction = £250

Throttle Cable = £25

Lupo Wiper Mod = £25

Rear Discs & Pads (std) = £100

Tar-Ox Discs & Pads (front) = £270

Front Caliper = £50

Milltex Cat Back = £330

16" BBS RX's with Toyo's = £850

That's nearly 2 grand which isn't bad. Due an MOT & service next month so no doubt that'll cost a 'pretty penny'. As said already, dread to think how much has went on petrol!

Konis/HRs - £500 fitted

Sorry, without wanting to go off topic, where did you manage to get this done?

Stealth of course

That wasn't a precise figure by the way. I'm at work so don't have the invoices to hand but I can PM you the exact price when I get home if you want? It was around that figure IIRC.....
