Drucey 10 Posted February 12, 2015 Does anybody know where the sensor is that controls the mfa reading for the outside temperature. I'm guessing it's under the bonnet someplace? Mine is faulty, just seeing if it an easy fix? Thanks :)
Jim 2 Posted February 12, 2015 It lives down in the front bumper on the drivers side - if you look under the indicator in the black plastic vents on the underside of the bumper you should see a small hole where the sensor plugs in. You should be able reach it under the car. One thing to check is that both your fog lights work.. a Corrado I owned several years ago had the fog light on that side not working, and the temperature sensor didn't work - turns out the plug / connector is the same for both and they had been plugged into each other! Swapped them over, and all golden again :)
Drucey 10 Posted February 12, 2015 Legend, thanks m8. My car is an early model (if that matters) 1.8 16v both fogs work fine m8. Just get dodge reading from it. I think when the engine gets hot it says it's summer outside.. Haha

Haha As yours is an early valver it lives in the brake cooling duct instead - same area although it will be inside the cooling duct - bit of a pain to get to and unclip compared to the later fitting. MZpog 10 Posted February 12, 2015 I didn't even know some came with an outside temperature gauge.
Erallus 10 Posted February 12, 2015 I think mines knackered also, I just get a "--" on the MFA. The fogs do work though. I'll have to see about replacing it.
Erallus 10 Posted February 12, 2015 I found this guide with a picture of it, on a canadian car: http://www.corrado-club.ca/forum/viewtopic.php?t=9393&start=0&postdays=0&postorder=asc&highlight=&sid=b6e5e10e51bc24a36878232ae0c3396b

Drucey 10 Posted February 12, 2015 Can you still get the sensors? If vw sell them (I bet they don't) they will cost a bomb. Does anybody know the part number? Mine does work but it's not very good when the engine is hot.. Lol thanks as always every one.
