delfinis38 1 Posted October 29, 2015 What oil filters are you guys using these days... Used to use genuine, then discovered the hengst from euro car parts are the same filter but without vag logo... Euro parts only sell Mann or cross land these days should I go for a genuine one from the dealer.. What's the filtration like on a Mann or cross land. Jim Bowen 1 Posted October 29, 2015 I always used mann stuff. They have a good amount of filtration material. Was a good youtube video about oil filters and the guy dismantles a mann filter compared to some others.

I used to buy Hengst oil filters from GSF, but they do not even list one now when I put in my registration number - Strange? Ian.
Portent 0 Posted October 31, 2015 Normally a genuine one from my local VW dealers. The conversation always, always, goes something like this: Me: "I'd like to order an oil filter and new filter bolt please." VW: "No need to order. We should have it in stock." Me: "Well that would be great but I think it's unlikely." VW: "We always carry a lot of service items Sir. I'm sure we'll have it. Which car is it?" Me: "A Corrado VR6." VW: "Oh. I'm afraid we don't seem to have that in stock. Would you like me to order one for you?"
