paxman 0 Posted July 26, 2016 (edited) NOW SOLD UPDATED Beautiful Rare Genuine VR6 Storm. 12 months MOT Full VW and Specialist history. Full professional respray in original Storm colour classic green. (Obviously very good paintwork although front bumper could benefit from a respray) Brand New adjustable Weitec HICON GT Coilover suspension. Toad Ai606 Cat 1 Alarm Immobiliser with remote central locking and full closure. Refurbished original (Storm fitment) BBS solitude Alloys with brand new Goodyear tyres. The car drives beautifully and pulls strongly. I will really miss it but a young family forces sale Lots done to the car and new reconditioned engine fitted recently (only 60,000 miles on the engine) Single key works all locks. Sunroof and spoiler work as they should! Brakes- New performance EBC Redstuff front brake pads, New VW rear pads New original VW Discs front & rear New Copper Brake lines/ Goodridge Braided Brake lines / Calipers. Upgraded performance short throw gearbox linkage. Upgraded replacement one piece scuttle panel Heater Matrix replaced with genuine part by VW Specialist 2 years ago. Cream heated Leather all good condition for age with age related minor cracking to door cards and front seats, drivers bolster in good condition would not need replacing but I would've liked to have had the leather treated to bring it back up to excellent condition. Cream mats & rubber overmats Upgraded door handle kits fitted (a Corrado weakness) Side repeaters and mirror gaskets replaced New rear VW badge Supaguarded Sony CD Radio with AUX in Alpine speaker replacements all round. Original Radio included Osram nightbreaker Headlights Locking Wheel Nuts Lupo Wiper arm and flat blade upgrade Weitec Coilovers Hicon GT New rear Bearings Performance HT Leads Performance NGK Iridium spark plugs Brand new Beru coil pack All 3 temperature sensors senders replaced this week (fan had started staying on) For the new owner- a box of brand new high quality Febi or Lemforder or Meyle original or performance replacement steering and suspension parts (bushes, wishbones etc). Including R32 bushes. Approximately £3-400 worth I seem to remember. This was my next project- ready for overhaul... Ready for next keeper as and when they want to get them fitted. NEGATIVES- Front bumper would need a respray to be perfect again (paint cracking a little at corners). ABS light occasionally comes on after a while and sometimes under braking. Believed to be one of the front ABS sensors... A pair of new ones in the box of goodies. Engine Temperature read out on multi dash display showing dash dash- also included new sensor in box of bits. Heater controls don't light up... And selector doesn't go all way to windscreen setting.... Someone has posted a fix on this forum I've seen before. Fan works on all 4 settings. Some of headlining sagging a bit... Some of it has been stuck back up. Passenger side interior window sill trim-some has broken off. There's a crack in dash trim to left of radio (common place for it to go I believe) Firm price of £4500 Edited August 4, 2016 by paxman Due to being listed too cheaply after experienced forum members giving advice . EJ Taylor 22 Posted July 26, 2016 All I'm saying is that the vendor should ask for more than £4k! agree! more pics and an answer to my q though !? Why is it in need of a bumper respray if its just been professionally painted?
g0ldf1ng3r 15 Posted July 26, 2016 they are helping put the prices up, don't complain about it. Someone has to start it. i, & Jim (admin) too i believe, am not complaining about the nice recent rising of prices my, possibly our, grumble is with the fact that there are many traders out there looking to buy rado's as cheap as they can, do very little work to them & then try to sell them on for huge profits not long after! my gf & i have personally experienced this recently with her storm & the scum bag trader who turned up late & in the near dark, then haggled about his winning ebay price, lied through teeth & then puts it up for sale again (having insisted he would never sell it) for over £5,000 profit! in my opinion that is not 'helping prices' but merely trying to make a quick buck at other peoples expense = SCUM! From the description here's little or nothing to do (except maybe a Turbo or Charger lol) Get some good pics up here, interior and exterior with close-ups of any blemishes. And list it on Pistonheads for £7k :)

I see where you're coming from, i dislike anyone who buys something and then sells it not long after for more money. Antiques dealers and all those bargain hunt/pickers programs i can't stand, All the same, Go into a shop, pick up something for £20, moan about the price and end up getting it for £10, then they sell it at auction for £20. All those sort of people are a waste of space. I'd feel a right arsehole being that middleman.

paxman 0 Posted July 26, 2016 Haha I've still got a sell it though so it's worth what's offered! Didn't want to be greedy so I thought offers above maybe fairer. Someone's coming Saturday to look.
