Rocket Ron 1 Posted June 14, 2017 Just renewed my front tyres on my VR and the tyre man told me there was excessive corrosion inside both wheels. Where can I get new/better condition ones from Thought about ebay etc but all sell with tyres so don't know condition of the wheel. Saw new ones on a german site but can't remember now which one. PS don't need tyres.

GlosterOx 0 Posted June 14, 2017 Have you got any spare wheels or borrow some whilst you get your originals refurbished Ron? Ian.
VR6 South 0 Posted June 14, 2017 If they are that bad, perhaps a local engineering company could machine to corrosion off?
Dox 23 Posted June 14, 2017 The usual trick is to remove the corrosion with a rotary wire brush or caramel wheel, followed by painting the bead area and wheel well with chassis paint - not hammerite as it chips too easily.

1xshaunx1 27 Posted June 27, 2017 If you drive in to AP TYRES ROTHERHAM They lend you some wheels and tyres while they refurb yours. £50 a wheel. They did the wife's beetle wheels last year. Looked good too.
Cressa 44 Posted June 28, 2017 AP TYRES certainly look after you. It's like an Ants nest of activity and I am extremely happy with the service they continually give me Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
