James. 9 Posted September 14, 2020 Vintage rubber got back in touch with a prompt yet vague reply. I’ve seen the Beetle mod, but not up close. Certainly worth a shot for the 8v at least. Is it a particular model/year ?

Hi James , Just a coupe that is from 1998 - 2010 I believe chap left outer 1C0837477A + right outer 1C0837478A- they looked good- as mentioned need to trim the beetle scraper where it meets the bottom of the b pillar vertical seal . Picture below of one. Think this might be one with free postage and make an offer if anyone wants to have a go. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VW-BEETLE-WINDOW-RUBBER-SEAL-OUTER-FRONT-LEFT-GENUINE-REFK09/274197320483?fits=Model%3ANew+Beetle&hash=item3fd76f1323:g:HfAAAOSw~hZeGdKg Edited September 15, 2020 by Keyo
James. 9 Posted September 15, 2020 Nice one Keyo. I’m going to try that (at some point).
fla 9 Posted September 16, 2020 That looks good. James are you going to get this strip? If not I might buy it and try it out and see how much work needs doing to make it fit. And of course how it looks aesthetically - although that will depend on my trimming ability
Keyo 47 Posted September 22, 2020 (edited) I read somewhere today that you use the left for right corrado and right for left off the beetle if that makes sense and no cutting. Edited September 22, 2020 by Keyo

They say this will increase to $350 after release (approx 1st November). Nice to support a company willing to step up and fill a gap.
