Anyone with a metering head which I believe the 16V variant of the Corrado has, I cant recommend Hel Fuel Lines enough.

 

They custom made me some hard injector lines out of stainless steel/ and braided combined. they look the dogs muts nuts and also supplied new banjo bolts and washers. !!!

 

Wish I could post a picture to show you the craftsmanship, don't be tempted to get a set off the shelf as it won't have the factory bends in and will wreck the whole look of your engine bay.

 

They will custom make any fuel line and as the Rado Vr6 are obsolete I recommend you send them off for these guys to

 

recreate.

 

Also make brake lined you name it.

This is Keyo's photo not mine that he kindly sent me via WhatsApp late last year, as you can see the new fuel injector lines look great. This is definitely something I need to get done on mine in the future.

Hi chap hope your undercarriage refurb is going well. Made a video earlier this year of the fuel lines - can see them a bit better off here chap- the stainless steel banjo bolts and washers come with them

Another good find mate! Was after some new VR6 fuel lines so this is perfect timing, will give them a call in the morning.

Sound mate - have you still got the original one and you send it into them for replication.  The two fuel return and feed are obsolete above the aux belt - in fact most of the lines are obsolete. The reassuring thing about using these guys is they pressure test every fuel line they manufacture.

Unfortunately they can't do the VR6 return and feed line, apparently, due to the pre-bent shape and size of the hose. I spoke to them on the phone and they said send them in, but they've had a look and said they can't - bit of a shame.

Humm that sounds odd my injector lines were complex - did you get to speak to the owner ?

No, but the guy I spoke to checked with their director who had them on his desk. When I spoke the them originally they said they'd done them for a VR6 in the past but didn't have a template, so a bit odd but I guess he was mistaken - if they can't do em, they can't do em!

Shame, as stainless braided would have looked decent!

So just confirm you sent yours in to be replicated and they said they couldn't do them ? Just saying because mine have bends and turns and very complex - made 7 for me and all were different and quite complex. compared to the VR lines. 

Have you got the part numbers for the lines your after ? Is it the black and blue feed line your after that run under the car ?  Looks like these have since gone obsolete only last year.

Yeah, that's it. 

It is the two rubber hoses above the aux. belt, return and feed, that connect the black and blue lines to the fuel rail. He said they don't do that type of rubber hose with the pre-bent shape - I think it's getting the shape fixed into their hoses that is the issue. I guess their hoses are just full flex.

Don't have the part numbers but will give the dealer a call and see if they're still available.

I know the ones your on about - I purchased the last NOS - got one from Germany and one from a Corrado owner that was having a garage clear out and was new in the packaging- I was a bit annoyed because the mechanic cut my old ones up to get them off and would of been good as old spares as only changed to tidy up the bay as they were discoloured and  more of a precautionary measure- I don t like 25 year old fuel lines next to an engine .  .

When I was looking for them I noticed a Passat/4Motion/Santana AAA block had the same part number but with a J rather then a K at the end I wonder if they are a near fit.

Both feed and return above .  Diagram looks the same as a VR and the clips used are identical. Up to you if you want to risk it but we would all like to know if they are a good fit ha ! The hose clamps are the same size so I imagine they are the correct diameter. Maybe they are bit longer or worse case scenario shorter. Might be worth seeing if the dealers have them in stock but make sure you can return if no good.

I'm going to give Hel another call in the morning - if it's just a case of not being able to get the shape then that might not matter. It'll still go in the clips but just be a normal flex.

Sure rubber hose molding isnt really there thing- they specialise in metal stainless pipes and flex hose if that makes sense. There should be three clamps on thei fuel lines spaced along them so that will help keep them to the correct shape.

Not at all chap think they cost £350 for x 7 from memory - they are very time consuming to make be fair as each one is a different shape and length with different bands in the metal. Don't half give the bay a facelift though and peace of mind replacing the old lines. Got four new bosch injectors at the same time cost about £80.00 for them. I have the Bosch part number for them - Vag charge nearly double for the same ones with vag part number on them.

Yes you have to send them in to be replicated - with that price you get stainless steel banjo bolts and washers- but dont sound alot but they are about £8 each from the stealers I believe - make sure you ask for the bolts and washers as part of the deal .

going have to give them a call as mine on the car are looking a bit crusty, and i know if i start to rub them down im going to end up with pin holes every where.
