Paintwork looks lovely, such a nice colour especially in the sun! I really need to flat my paint back and get the machine polisher on it- I just detest detailing :L Any tips? As you seemingly have it nailed! Haha
-
Is the mapping on the chip okay for uk use? I remember looking into it a while back for one of my golfs and they said it wouldn't be suitable :( Do tell!!
-
I managed to stop alot of the interior rattles by removing the interior and..... putting a roll cage in :') I jest, haven't quite got that far yet. Are you driving it through winter mate? I don't want to make you jealous but I'm currently crusing round in a yaris 4d4

Hahah it took me a few seconds to figure out that it was your bike wheels! Lovely rado man :)

I suppose at least it happened before the *really* cold weather sets in! Better now than mid december when it's snowing and icy as frick outside!

Hi guys I'll dig out the name/ make of them this weekend! I can't remember off the top of my head. Coullstar I bought them off ebay as I'd been after some comp MO's but then saw these and bought them on the spot! Thankyou for the kind words gents! Makes the hours of arch work seem worth it now :)
-
I'll just leave this here :) 8.5jx16, 20mm spacers, rear arches rolled/flared/welded 1" wider. Although I want to redo them eventually when I respray the whole car
-
Haha he should have listened to you! Fair play to him though alot of people liked it against the purple. I just much prefer darker interiors! The rewards were much needed after all the work! She's driving like a beaut though :)
-
Cheers clumpy1! :) Thanks Riley it's all been worth it, such an enjoyable drive! iphone pic sorry haha, just 2 mins from my house on the moors

Absolutely brilliant, I was abit dubious as I had them under a few layers of fibreglass (wanted as little filler used as poss) and it holds really well! Have done a number of trips up and down north yorkshire to leicester on the M1 etc, even once in bad winds, and it didn't move an inch! :)

Hahahah, about spat my drink out as I read that! I'm not into that sort of thing I'm afraid man! Cheers for all the kind words gents. Work shall continue! Going to fab up a half cage at somepoint. Saying that my mig is in desperate need of a full refurb. Been on the look out for some 17" Azev A's in 5x100 but no luck!

Supercharged- I know I do apologise for the lack of updates til now! Note to self update more often as doing it all at once takes ages haha Coullstar- you're telling me! Although my pd mk2 golf build is taking up my time Aswell now so fingers crossed the rado behaves! Love driving it. Chris- thanks mate I hope so too, it's lovely to drive and the sound is amazing. Hence why I just kept going everytime I had to take it to bits! :)

Got bored so welded up etc my mates mk2 windscreen surround. Back in......... Reward (Steak) Got bored of my knackered gearknob so mate one: Bored again so welded up and de wipered my mates mk2: Made a scuttle cover from some spare ali sheeting that was in the shed: Cleaned TB up: CLutch has now done 300 odd miles, she pulls well! Put the clutch killing problem down to excess vibrations due to loss of crankshaft pulley weight & bent locating dowel on flywheel causing pressure plate diaphragm to stretch, hence replacing both. 3rd New clutch was again an LUK unit as they are brilliant. Cheers!

Fed up of the messy wiring so sorted it and re-routed/ extended where needed etc Old flywheel had a bent locater dowel, so took it off and put new flywheel on. Trying to reduce problems that could be killing clutch. 2x dead clutches. Both with 2 of 3 rivets sheered. Adds 200bhp m8. Put a mk4 r32 crankshaft pulley on, as other one was shagged. Hopefully this one lasts longer! Did some digging to find why I had no 5th gear.. Second pic is the selector burred off somehow in one box!?!?! Third pic is how it should be in my spare box. So I swapped the good cond 5th gear into the corrado gearbox. The spare box also wouldnt select 5th but that was another issue. Hence taking it's 5th gear. Before: During: After:

Wiring mess in the bay: Doge. Looking abit happier! Aaaaaaand on the M1 the new clutch shat itself after a grand total of 81 miles. So when I came home few weeks after ouuuuuttttt it all came again! This time gave it all a spruce up.

Back together and running, clutch worked! woo. Reward Cleaned Bonnet catch broke meaning the bonnet was stuck shut, after ALOT of faffing I got it opened. Was v. ****ed at this point so out came the hole drill and grinder. Did abit of spring cleaning of my mates beamer Re-located the batter into the boot with the beamers battery cable.

Okay so with clutch still slipping, could only be clutch itself so out the engine came! Did abit of bumper work whilst I was bored of mechanical stuff. I fibreglassed in some magnets too so that I can remove the number plate when I want too. Fixed cracked splitter So with the engine out, I took gearbox off and found out why it was slipping!! It had sheared 2/3 of the retaining rivet on the tangential straps on the clutch pressure plate. Bizarre... New LUK clutch on (well, had done 100 miles in a vr in my shed before I took it out my mk2) Back in:

Long overdue update time; So in march I got her insured and taxed etc on the road. 25 miles in this happened.. Clutch pedal wouldn't come back up and also the crank pulley weight came off so it was vibrating alot. Had to try glue it on to limp her back home after getting recovered. Thought clutch slave or master had gone as it was displaying those symptoms, So I replaced both with new units. So after I replaced them and bled the system about a million times with no effect, I was abit ****ed off as it was a new clutch. So i drove it with a slipping clutch for a while, got an oil leak so sorted it. Was the pressure sensors. Got the DDI dials working properly again, bad connection, Got rid of the (not to my taste) 80's pornstar beige leather interior. Got a black cloth replacement, much better!

Hi everyone, just had engine out and changed clutch on my corrado. Literally last thing I need to sort is 5th gear. I could get it before but not now!? I have been trying various alignments using both left/right and front/back adjustment bolts on the tower linkage/ gear stick tension spring. My problem is this.... I just can't get 5th gear. If I disconnect the cables I can put it into 5th by hand on the tower (lifting up and turning towards the block) it clicks in place as if it's in 5th. However if I start the car and release the clutch nothing happens, as if it's in neutral. Is there anything internally in the shifter tower that might need adjustment!? HELP! Please

Weird to think you could buy a Mk5 R32, a top spec Mk5 edition 30 with remap etc for 60bhp more than an R...a mk5 GtTdi for daily use, and still have like 15k leftover!
-
Bump before it goes on ebay!

Hi everyone, got my trusty daily diesel for sale! Spec as follows: -Silver, 5 door 2005 Nissan Almera 2.2 DCI SXE (turbo diesel) -140 bhp & 225lbft -88k miles (Will go up as use weekly) -6 speed -Full auto climate control & aircon -Built in sat-nav/ cd player etc -Rear parking sensors -Full electric windows x4, elec sunroof, mirrors etc. around 4-5 months MOT & Tax (Need to double check this!) I bought it early september as I was moving back down to leicester, so needed a comfy motorway cruiser for the 3hr M1 journey from leicester to family in North Yorkshire that I regularly do! I have done around 4-5k miles in it since then without an issue! It really is a pleasure to drive (Never thought I'd say that about a japanese car!) It's quite a sleeper in all honesty as they're quite unknown. Pulls extremely well when you need to overtake etc, and motorway driving is great especially with the 6th gear. In town with small stop start journeys it returns 44mpg and a constant run on the m1 it gets 50mpg+ depending what speed you're doing! It had just been serviced by the previous owner when I purchased it, so you're good for another 4-5k miles. All I have had to do when I bought it and had a pre- MOT check at my mates garage was replace the discs and pads all round. I have had this done on the rear, but not the fronts yet as they have plenty of life left! (Brand new boxed front discs and pads are included) I have also purchased 2x brand new tyres for when the backs need replacing (Still have life in them yet). Pics (I will get decent ones asap, only could find these ones on my phone. I have since resprayed the front bumper!):- And next to the reason for sale Bad points: It has a few paint grazes on the front bumper, the towing eye cover has gone missing (Crap design wasn't held on very well) and down the passenger side there is a crease on the doors (Still looks very presentable it hasn't broken the paint etc! I didn't receive any paperwork other than recent MOT and V5 etc as the previous owner lost it in a house move (They're local and went to my friends garage for services etc so knew it was a good car before I bought it.) All in all, a brilliant car (Cheap for the spec you get!) and is lovely to drive! (Genuinely, I'm used to mk2 20vt and R32's etc and can say it drives well!) Reason for sale is my insurance renewal is coming up in a month and want to get my R32 corrado back on the road (Can't afford to have 2 cars) Car is located near Kirkbymoorside, North Yorkshire. Although I live in Leicester half the time too so either is fine! £1200, I preferably need a cash sale, but would p/x for a mk2 gti 3dr or a cheap mk3 golf diesel. Cheers!

Yay the north! I think even if it was a general VW meet it could drum up more publicity/ numbers. Show people some nice corrados and maybe sway them into CCGB/ corrado ownership. I'd be happy to help in the North Yorkshire area!

Definetly do the 02j shifter change mate, so much nicer. I'd advise getting a short shift too, did this on my last 20vt mk2 and makes for a very nice notchy gear selector! Good progress, have fun wth the wiring.... It's joyous ;)
