  1. Hi everyone, got my trusty daily diesel for sale! Spec as follows: -Silver, 5 door 2005 Nissan Almera 2.2 DCI SXE (turbo diesel) -140 bhp & 225lbft -88k miles (Will go up as use weekly) -6 speed -Full auto climate control & aircon -Built in sat-nav/ cd player etc -Rear parking sensors -Full electric windows x4, elec sunroof, mirrors etc. around 4-5 months MOT & Tax (Need to double check this!) I bought it early september as I was moving back down to leicester, so needed a comfy motorway cruiser for the 3hr M1 journey from leicester to family in North Yorkshire that I regularly do! I have done around 4-5k miles in it since then without an issue! It really is a pleasure to drive (Never thought I'd say that about a japanese car!) It's quite a sleeper in all honesty as they're quite unknown. Pulls extremely well when you need to overtake etc, and motorway driving is great especially with the 6th gear. In town with small stop start journeys it returns 44mpg and a constant run on the m1 it gets 50mpg+ depending what speed you're doing! It had just been serviced by the previous owner when I purchased it, so you're good for another 4-5k miles. All I have had to do when I bought it and had a pre- MOT check at my mates garage was replace the discs and pads all round. I have had this done on the rear, but not the fronts yet as they have plenty of life left! (Brand new boxed front discs and pads are included) I have also purchased 2x brand new tyres for when the backs need replacing (Still have life in them yet). Pics (I will get decent ones asap, only could find these ones on my phone. I have since resprayed the front bumper!):- And next to the reason for sale Bad points: It has a few paint grazes on the front bumper, the towing eye cover has gone missing (Crap design wasn't held on very well) and down the passenger side there is a crease on the doors (Still looks very presentable it hasn't broken the paint etc! I didn't receive any paperwork other than recent MOT and V5 etc as the previous owner lost it in a house move (They're local and went to my friends garage for services etc so knew it was a good car before I bought it.) All in all, a brilliant car (Cheap for the spec you get!) and is lovely to drive! (Genuinely, I'm used to mk2 20vt and R32's etc and can say it drives well!) Reason for sale is my insurance renewal is coming up in a month and want to get my R32 corrado back on the road (Can't afford to have 2 cars) Car is located near Kirkbymoorside, North Yorkshire. Although I live in Leicester half the time too so either is fine! £1200, I preferably need a cash sale, but would p/x for a mk2 gti 3dr or a cheap mk3 golf diesel. Cheers!
  2. Yay the north! I think even if it was a general VW meet it could drum up more publicity/ numbers. Show people some nice corrados and maybe sway them into CCGB/ corrado ownership. I'd be happy to help in the North Yorkshire area!
  3. Definetly do the 02j shifter change mate, so much nicer. I'd advise getting a short shift too, did this on my last 20vt mk2 and makes for a very nice notchy gear selector! Good progress, have fun wth the wiring.... It's joyous ;)
  4. Bump :) after a black cloth interior in p/x!
  5. Hi mate where are you located? Cheers
  6. Makes you realise it's not yourself you need to watch out for so much, it's other drivers! Glad there was no loss of life, wish you a speedy recovery! Hope it hasn't ruined your christmas and new years completely!
  7. Hi everyone, I will be visiting my parents next week for Christmas so will remove the interior during the week. Cheers!
  8. i used a 1.3 rad in one of my mk2 20vt projects- running 237bhp & never overheated once, even from a day on the drag strip! so you should be fine lad
  9. oh cmon!! teasers are unfair
  10. Okay cheers guys! It will be including headlining/ visors & carpets Sean :) Thanks for the price estimates got a rough idea now!
  11. Hi everyone, as the car is off the road for winter, I thought I would try get the interior sold! It's out of the R32 blackberry corrado I bought earlier this year, some of you may know it. There is a large hole worn in the driver bolster, and the drivers doorcard is slightly discoloured. Apart from that it's in good shape! I realise it needs a price, but I really don't have an idea of what it's worth? (I am new to corrados and part values) This being the leather seats (front & back) front and rear doorcards, carpets, headlining, sun visors, beige plastics (minus centre piece, abc pillars & passenger kick plate) and parcel shelf. I will take a black cloth/ plastic interior in p/x! If someone could give me an idea of it's rough value, I would greatly appreciate this! It is located in North Yorkshire
  12. Please make sure everyone takes lots of vids of their beautiful sounding rado's on the RR!
  13. Well unfortunately I won't be joining :( can't afford to tax + insure with the quote I got, so will have to wait till march as planned at my renewal. Very envious of you all!
  14. Yeah definitely would mic! I will ring insurance tomorrow, if it's reasonable I'll whack some tax on and get it driven down to leicester in prep. Shall report back wether to list me or not tomorrow!
  15. I am so tempted to tax & insure the Corrado then bring it down, but it would mean losing a month of tax :( When would there likely be another RR day?
  16. Doubt it would be but I have a few spare CE2 fuseboxes kicking about at home if you needed a replacement one for free! Coming on well, can't wait to see it running :smug:
  17. Thanks GlosterOx I'll check that when I'm next in yorkshire! :) Cheers Chris, hopefully gives it abit more stability. But yeah happy with how it fills the arches in! Did you put a new rear beam on? I hated re-aligning it on my mk2 after a put mk3 rear beam on..
  18. Cheers lad, love your thread by the way. Was scouring it for ideas Bet you can't wait till it's done! Looks a great job. Yeah it is running (apart from it's killing batteries, need to figure that out) but it's up at my parents in north yorkshire unfortunately so won't be at the RR day :( Hopefully there will be one in summer for me to bring it to! Might just bring the dci almera to the RR, show you all some real power :bonk:
  19. Not much of an update as I'm living back in leicester, but popped up to my parents at the weekend to sell my mk2 20vt. Tried on my 9J borbets, but way too much tyre poke and I don't want to mess with the arches! So I put the standard speedlines back on & fitted some 10mm hubcentric spacers on the front, and 20mm ones on the rear. Also finished polishing the bonnet where I got rid of the dent :) Going to refurbish them in gunmetal grey or similar colour as they've got corroded areas and paint defects. poking out Before.. After! Next things on my list to do are, lower abit more & sell the leather interior. Got a cage & buckets lined up for when it's on the road in summer. I'll also be removing the engine to clean & paint the block/ gearbox & a general clean of the bay :) Bought some vw loom tape to do the wiring as alot of it is bare in the bay Cheers
  20. Looks brilliant on them mate, really transforms the look of it!
  21. 20k imo.. ovno of course
  22. Exciting times! What're you doing about the loom & immob defeat etc then?
  23. Cheers! :thumbleft: I left the faux beige leather that was already on the plastics and roughed the surface up with 320 grit; it just helped the glue adhere better!
  24. The new wheels are going to look awesome mate! Bet you're happy with how they've come up. When do you reckon they'll be on then?
