Welcome along fellow Storm owner.
-
Don't think there is a proper name for it (I maybe proved wrong) but its just an elbow pipe to your brake booster one way valve. And probably any vw breakers, I doubt you'll be able to get it from vw anymore.

Haha, you're more than welcome. . . . . ;-)

95 storm with space saver and hump.

Fitted new headlining (lighter colour) to brighten the place up a bit. Looks a lot lighter in the pics.

Here's a pic before I sealed mine, just run some silicone sealant along the edge of the plastic trim where it meets the frame on all 4 corners. I poured water down the sunroof channels and even though they were free drops were coming out of that area. Hope this helps. (Roof lining out)

As sean-jaymo says, but also if they are clear where the drains attach to the sunroof cartridge they need sealing.

It's the foam on the back of the roof lining thats the problem, the glue just soaks onto the crumbling foam and comes off straight away. The ONLY way to cure a sagging lining is to remove it, sand all the glue/foam off (ball ache and very time consuming) and replace the lining.

Picked up something really important to finish off tidying up the interior of the Storm. [emoji2]

It's all a load of marketing bollocks, the cars they have been tested on were on 'cold start' so the co and hc's emissions are going to be up. Take ANY car to an mot station test it, then thrash it down the road for 10 mins and it will be as clean as a whistle. I've been a mechanic for 20yrs and Fortron had the same thing years ago, all it was is just a fancy injector cleaner. So if you have a faulty injector you will see a 15-20bhp gain after the clean.

May just need re-alingning with your roof. Just make sure your roof is closed then with the motor connected (but not fitted) move the switch forward till it stops. Fit the motor back in position and bingo. Hopefully, if not the you definitely need a new one.
-
To be honest I don't think that they were worth £23k new. But my Storm is totally std @130k needs paintwork, no rot!, does this mean I have a £9k+ car sitting on my drive? Er . . . No.

Think all the bits are called #rare #expensive ;-)
-
Trouble is with that is matching up the interior panel cover and making that slide with the sunroof.
-
Probably the idle air valve stuck wide open. You should be able to hear the fuel pump running for a couple of secs after the ign is turned on and the aux water pump running all the time as VAG-hag says.
-
Haha . . . . Good luck with the front one. Hens teeth and all that. ;-)
-
Really! !! I tried last month at VW parkway derby, and they said "no longer available, have you tried TPS?" . . . . Probably just fobing me off then.
-
I assume its the left hand mechanism? You can ask on here if anyone has a 'spare' cable but getting scarce. There is a sticky thread somewhere on here. I have 2 right hand cables spare!

Welcome along, . . . pics please! ;-)

Unique Audi RS4 stolen and spotted in Birmingham area

I am in Derby, travel around abit so will keep a look out. F-king scum!!!! -
Just a quick note, once the headlining starts to peel off nothing on this earth will keep it stuck up permanently. Having mine re-trimmed as we speak.
-
Could be a master cylinder fault, sticking/deformed seals. It will work on the way down but as you release, it sticks then frees off and engages the clutch with a bang. Just an idea? . . . What did you do the first time to 'cure it?'
-
Not really done anything, but was told that my newly refurbished headlining will be ready next week, to go with my newly working sunroof. Tilt AND slide. :-D
