No takers? Bentley is less than useless on this one, ditto for ETKA

Unfortunately, the weekend is out with me unless I want a quick divorce, so I guess I'll check back after the jubilee to see if the above two have taken you up on their interest. If not I will arrange a time to come and pick them up as a pair. cheers Stuey

poor fella - by the looks of your avatar, it seems you too are afflicted by this phenomena. Bet it never stopped you though...

is there actually any difference between the looms between models e.g. 16V/G60/VR6?

What happened Doug? Got any uptodate pics? I have to congratulate you on your expertise and hard work. it is interesting to see what has happened to my first Storm, and no-one can doubt your dedication. I would love to see it in the flesh/metal one day.....

are these still available as a pair for collection?

Even with a hosepipe ban, you can still use a bucket and a sponge ;-) And water is still fairly cheap, not like the gas/electric robbers

Always liked the 928S - similar styling to the Corrado I suppose. Anyway looks like a nice day out was had....I watched the Monaco GP before the barbecue was ignited...too hot to cook so headed off down the beach.....what a lazy get

I would echo Kev's comments on the issue of debris. Some 'high performance' brake discs seem to generate more metallic debris. I had the problem of the intermittent ABS light and went down the sensor route, but I believe VAGCOM sensor faults can indeed be down to the apertures within the rotors not being clear. When I changed my front discs and pads last week, there were several flakes of metal stuck in the holes in the front rotors and after giving them a good brush out with a wire brush and then putting on new pads and discs means the problem of the ABS light has seemingly gone. I also checked the resistance of the sensors themselves and they came out at around 1020mOhms on both sides..so I have assumed it was a problem of brake disc debris, especially when the Brembo Max 'high performance' drilled and grooved discs were badly scored unevenly on the inner sides, generating the aforementioned cr*p. Standard brake discs are now on the car.

I'll take the heater controls if Benje doesn't want them....

I would love to, but I've run out of space - I could hybridise a green and blue Storm...maybe swap the interiors...

According to Bentley, there are 2 oil pressure switches on the top of the oil filter housing on the VR. Facing the car, the switch on the left is a yellow wire and the one on the right is a blue wire. Which one is the high pressure switch (1.4bar) and which one is the low (0.3 bar)? I need to replace the blue wired sensor on the right as you face the car - which pressure switch is this one - the low pressure or the high pressure one? Are the sensors themselves coloured? And if so, do they match their wires or is this another point of confusion? cheers

driver's wishbone gone? -
quick question - the pads and discs the same spec with the MK4 calliper conversion?
-
I'm after the grey plastic cap that seals the back of the foglight and has the connector trailing out the back of it. I broke the tabs so an unbroken one would be grand. Driver's side, but not sure if it makes any difference cheers
-
Thanks Nathan but I've got to source a new radiator first and then I'll probably go with the billeted aluminium elbow from GAP so the bas***d doesn't give me grief in the next 40 years. VW design means that damage to the plastic part of the radiator column means a whole new radiator.....

My old one was M108 PWN. Foggystorm had it but sold it back in 2007 when he moved to Germany (Army). Anyone on here got it now? Green Storm
