  1. Spotted what I think was a G60 driving through Chippenham on friday evening, looked very clean.
  2. Welcome! I drive through chippenham everyday in my rado, suprised I havent seen you yet!
  3. Update: I took the rado to a garage on Monday to get the cv joint looked at. After they had a look they assured me nothing was wrong, funnily enough the noise stopped the day before I took it in to them. Obviously I thought this was great news as I didnt have to spend any money. Driving home yesterday I came of a roundabout and accelerated pretty hard, heard a loud bang and lost all drive. Great..... Had a look under the bonnet and suprise suprise the suspected CV joint had come loose and twisted itself, fanbloodytastic!
  4. If you get the arches pulled you will lose the flat edge on the arch - mine are completely round. When I had my borbets on (same specs as your wheels, 16x9 et 15) I ran 215/40s which was perfect. I will post some pics up later when I get back from work.
  5. Its definitely doable! What size tyres are you currently running? You will need to get the arches rolled though and possibly pulled. The previous owner rolled and pulled mine but it means I can my current wheels of 16x9 et-2 :)
  6. Thanks for the suggestions guys. Unfortunately my jack is currently broken so wont be able to get the wheels into the air at the moment. Jim - Dipping the clutch does indeed stop the noise, aswell as lifting off the throttle. Sean- I dont think it will be the splash sheild as I have very low offset wheels and 15mm pcd adapters so the wheels are quite pokey. I had a look at the cv joint as suggested by Ray and noitced there was the very slightest of play at the inner cv end, could this be the cause? Would a worn out inner CV joint make a ticking noise? Thanks again people.
  7. Afternoon chaps, A few days ago I noitced a ticking sound coming from the passenger front wheel/ underneath the car sort of like a tick, tick, tick, tick which increases with speed. Now it only happens when I put my foot on the throtlle, take my foot off and it stops? Its not exactly very loud and there are no strange noises on idle. Any ideas? Thanks, Liam
  8. I personally wouldn't bother with a skid plate If all you are worried about is the sump, I would imagine it would be far easier/cheaper to raise the engine. Not sure if it is possible with corrado's however I know that mk2 golf people put hockey pucks under their engine mounts

Always loved these wheels! Prefer the RSII', same stlye but concave :)
  10. Sorry Dave, unfortunately I am one of those who havent returned a short shifter! I've Been meaning to do it for a while but I have a head like a sieve.. I have just put a reminder in my phone and will make sure I take it with me to work tomorrow. Once again apologies and sorry to all those who have been waiting!
  11. G60Mat, I have PM'd you quite a few times over the months regarding the front wing and still havent heard anything back? I would really appreciate it if you could get back to me? You have the only rot-free, flash-red drivers side wing I know of and I enquired back in Dec'13. Thanks, Liam
  12. My rado always sit's at around 70c with normal driving, even with a new sensor! I just let it be to be honest, Hasnt caused me any issues in 1.5 years!

    Crashy ride

I Did think I was eating through them to be honest haha. Well I'm certainly not buying the cheapest ones I can find thats for sure haha. I've been buying my bearing's from vwspares(AVS spares). They tend to have good parts? I noticed VW heritage sell meyle ones - What would you advise?
  14. Vr6T is what I have always been aiming for, please let me know when you sell it! :) 20vt will have to do for now! haha Edit: Quote didnt work, this message was in reponse to your post VR6 Gar

    Crashy ride

Thanks mate. How often do people usually go through wheel bearings? I have changed a wheel bearing every 6ish months per side, although I drive the car daily and drive it as it should ;) does this seem excessive?

    Crashy ride

Had a look at the suspected top mount as suggested and I could turn it by hand. Tightened it up and the ride is certainly a lot better :) steering feels a little light/loose at the moment, I might need another wheel bearing haha.

    Crashy ride

Thanks for the replies. No advisories on last MOT. I havent checked the suspension at all (I only noticed the play in wheel last night). How would I know if the top mount is at fault? I will give the coilover a once over this evening - it might be worth noting that car is prety low so could possibly just be bottoming out, however this wouldnt happen on just the one side would it?

    Crashy ride

Hi All, I've been having a problem lately with the drivers side front suspension. As I go over a dip/hole in the road it feels like my rim or something metal is hitting the floor which is giving quite an uncomfortable ride. I did notice that there is abit of play in that wheel so it would suggest a wheel bearing? However the ride has never been this bad when they have gone in the past so would this suggest something else is at fault here? Possible ball joint or bushes? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Liam edit: Tyre pressure is ok before anyone asks! :)
  19. Sorry to hi-jack your thread.. Do you know if these give you -1.75deg camber ontop of the factory adjustment you can do? So you can potentially end up -3deg (not that you would need it). Thanks in advance, liam
  20. Hi mate, ideally I'd like to sell the rear axle complete. Which includes everything bar the callipers and hoses. Not a problem - Thanks anyway!
  21. Hi, I did post a message on your ed38 ad, however I thought I might get an answer faster on here :). Are the rear hubs + discs available? Thanks, liam
