Ok so either nobody knew or you just it was such a silly question it didn't warrant answering. Anyway I presumed it was a standard E clip so popped into Halfords having a rough idea of the size I needed, not that it mattered as Halfords only had one choice, an overpriced kit with several sizes of E clip. Pliers out, suitably sized E clip fitted and OMG sloppy gear change gone and 1-2 gear changes are bliss again (so nice in fact I'll let Halfords off for charging £8 for kit when the part I needed was worth about 30p).

Ever feel like owning a Corrado is like have a disease?
MZpog replied to EJ Taylor's topic in General Car Chat
The only cure being driving one. -
Much less crashy that the cheapo coil overs I had fitted before, but still quite harsh.

Recent exhaust thread should give you some ideas, I personally like the jetex resonated system fitted to mine. Suspension depends on what your looking for and how much you wish to spend but I like my AP's which some have recently bought at a good price.
-
Worth upgrading the rear callipers to those from a MK4 golf as less prone to sticking.
-
Mine has at least one microswitch on the top, probably one below too so I guess the one you have fitted is the correct part. Switches are to show the ECU when closed or WOT.

Not far from me. Liking the all red rear lights, what condition are they in?

I'm far too lazy for hobby mechanics, especially on the parts needed for stopping. Used Halfords calliper paint. Goes on really thin so needs a few coats but seems ok.
-
Ta, will pass this info onto my mechanic as I won't be fitting them.

Wire brushed and painted the G60 callipers, getting them ready for upgrading the valver. Before:- After:-

My Corrado has recently been a little harder to find 2nd. It did this over a year ago and I found the clip on the shifter had come off. Thankfully last time it was sat there waiting for me to clip it back on, this time however it's gone :( Are these clips still available and is it just a standard circlip? Anyone got a spare?

Depending on what type of curry you want, Shipley (about 10 miles from Harewood) has some great spots. If you like the slightly more upmarket dining then I'd recommend you visit Aagrah http://www.aagrah.com/restaurants/shipley-grill-carvery/ Me personally can't get enough of Rajpoot (possibly tonight's take away) which looks a little shabby but is uber nice fodder http://www.rajpootrestaurantshipley.co.uk/ Bad enough that I'll be in Cyprus Harewood weekend, but now a possibly curry night, pfft.

Agree. I did it myself and it didn't take too long. Worse bit is getting the nut of the top mounts where a windy gun comes in very handy.

Are drilled/grooved discs worth having? Peformance pads? Braided hose?
MZpog replied to MZpog's topic in Drivetrain
Cheers guys, I'll stick some standard pagid's in. -
Awaiting my G60 callipers to upgrade my fronts to 280mm disks and wondered if any benefit in buying drilled/grooved disks. Also will be changing pads so is there worth in going for performance pads? I already have braided rear lines from when I fitted the mk4 callipers and would like to upgrade my fronts to braided lines if anyone knows where I can buy them separately (only seen them in packs). Cheers, Stuart.

I'll have them if fully working with no seized bits. Let me know your Paypal email.

Could be interested in the G60's but need to know if they fit under 15's. Some pictures?

Had an un-resonated Powerflow on my valver and it was loud (not an issue) but droned badly (not good on motorways). Replaced with a resonated Jetex (fruity but not loud) with no obvious power difference but I could drive faster without the misses moaning about the noise. Jetex was the exhaust recommended on here at the time I needed one, possibly as Milltek had ceased production then.

I'm running ETA Beta Lucy 15's and wouldn't want to loose them for brakes.
-
I'm guessing the wheels need to be bigger than 15's?

My window fuse (14 or 15) was driving me nuts blowing randomly at one point and someone on the forum suggested I check the feed to the heated washer jets which it turned out to be. The feed wire was shorting where it attaches to the bonnet by the scuttle cover. Weirdly the windows would still operate with the fuse popped if the doors were open, but not when closed.

Had this happen on my MGB years ago. Suspected the slave was at fault but replaced he job lot to make sure. I'd start with a slave swap out as they are known to fail often and are pretty cheap and relatively easy to change. I changed mine on the valver simply for piece of mind.

Tilt as in let people in/out or tilt as in recline?
