Did a swap of my tilt only sunroof for a Passat moon roof and must say I like it lots. The swap required me to use my old motor (4 pin plug) rather than the Passat motor (6 pin plug) and whilst it works fine it seems a little slow when closing the slide. Is there a way to rewire the 6 pin motor to 4 pin to see if this is any quicker? If not what sort of grease/lube should I use on the runners?

Had a go at my MAF over the weekend. Voltage was 4.8 at the plug and 2-3 was a little out of spec on the low side. Whilst under the bonnet I lent on the elbow that comes off the metering head and it stopped the surging. Tried this a few times and ever time stopped the surging. Plan b, into garage for the spare I have, fitted this and now idle is sorted. Weird thing was I can't see any splits in the elbow and spraying round it with easy start didn't affect. Sorted now (I hope)

Love it....one minute he can't afford, then 7 mins later he's pondering more power.

OMG, read it as 99p. Wouldn't worry about the strings, £3 for Seat items that fit great.

Just seen this on fleabay if it's any use to you http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vw-Corrado-Parcel-Shelf-Beige-cream-recaro-Very-rare-G60-16V-VR6-/141567035615?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item20f60d88df

Not sure what the timing chain involves, but surely if it's head off then drop some cams in while you there (this spending other peoples money is easy)

Trying to keep up with a valver may have pushed it over the edge,
-
At least you've saved the cost of a new battery, :norty:
-
Was a good blast for the old girl and I doubt you struggled keeping up. We'll have to start a Bingley Dubs meet,
-
I didn't even know some came with an outside temperature gauge.
-
With pictures too, this should be a sticky. As you've busted your MAF, are you going to attempt removing it from the metering head to have a look inside? I wonder if there are any screws hiding under what looks to be silicone to the sides.

Passat one is glass and supposed to be more reliable

I'm looking for a Moonroof from a Passat, not another Corrado one.
-
***Bump*** just missed a moonroof on ebay so thought time for a bump.
-
Look forward to seeing them.

I recently reused an old gasket and have had a blowing exhaust since. New gasket is in the boot waiting for fitting.
-
My volt meter plugs in the cigarette lighter plug (assuming yours works), if not simply pop the bonnet and I'll put my multi-meter on the battery terminals.
-
wait till Thursday and plug my volt gauge in if you want.
-
pop to kwik fit and ask them to do a battery test for you if your worried about it's health. Fixing something that not broken will only sort a full wallet.
-
Are you pressing the clutch? Only joking but does it stall in neutral too?
-
Found this http://www.classic-audi.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=29491 which relates an Audi, but still relevant. Shame the Corrado MAF doesn't unbolt like this one.

Cheers fella, hopefully it will be dry at the weekend so I have a go at it. Did your pre destruction tweaking sort out the idle issue?
-
Which side of bingers are you at? May have to meet in middle.
