    rmn's G60

Thats not what he said. He said he taught he would of spotted it on VAGE forum.
  4. How to style a Corrado properly... The title suggest the corrado is styled wrong !!! Maybe a disclaimer saying 'IMHO' under all posts in this thread would be good
  5. It does look nice BUT how the hell could you actually enjoy driving a car that low (the first red one ) !!!!!!! Looks like a filling shaker back braker too me
  6. I got those badges off trimsport for the rear of the car and a medium sized on for the glovebox lid. The lady said I could stick on the grill but thats not a chioce for me. Tried fitting my Golf GTi badge onto the Corrado last night and not a chance.
  7. Looks like the site you are linking the pictures from is not available http://www.shovelbeating.org

    CV boot split

Super :) Torque wrench and ball joint serperator are on the shopping list. Cheers for the info
  9. i spotted it on ebay and have mailed the guy asking will it fit. Ill ask him for the part number when he replys. Further searching on ebay.de has returned a corrado G60 badge so Ill probably just go for that. On a side note, took my mates G60 badge off and wrote down part number. Went too dealers and ordered one. Went down a few days later too collect and it was a 16v grill badge. The guy went through the ETKA and the only grill badges lsited are for 16v and VR6. So basically the dealer is no help here :(

    CV boot split

Do you need to get tracking checked when you replace your boot. Replaced my passenger side one last weekend and had to get re-tracked. Now the f#@king drivers side is split. On the passenger side I removed the 3 ball joint bolts so I could free the hub etc.t away from the driveshaft. If I manage too seperate the ball joint using the proper tool (and not removing the 3 bolts) will I still have to go and get re-aligned. Boot is only 5quid and time is noting but alignment cost me 60 euro (cause of seized bolts). If I can avoid knocking out the alignment it would be ideal.
  11. Will it fit a corrado (late style grill) ??
  12. Bump stops have solved a sagging rear end on my mk2 and my brothers mk3 Golf. The corrado is the same I expect. Just picked up some new OE top mounts, bump stops, front and back for when I fit new springs.
  13. H&R springs are ready for collection 8)
  14. Handbrake is very tight actually. Maybe over adjusted. Under the car again so. Thx guys
  15. Doh, should of said - no ABS on mine. It came on a J plate. The springs are very soft so the nose tends too dip and and rear lifts and feels very light. Its kind of gradual so is controlable but id like too know if other corrado's dop this.
  16. Hi all, On the odd occasion I have too brake heavy either one of the rear wheels tends too lock up leaving a nice black mark on the road 8) The car is on normal springs so Im doubting the bias valve needs adjusting. Is this a normal thing on a Corrado or do I need to get my toolbox out ?? Thx Mark
  17. reminds me of the days when I had a mk4 with coilovers. blew 2 inner CV joints in one week. Pain in the arse and the car was pretty horrid too drive. Sold the sodding thing not long after cause it was just trouble wainting too happen.

    boost pressure

It seems too be better for me in 4th and only saw just over 1600 (under 9 PSI) in 3rd and that was nearly red lining (which I tend not too do atall). Agreed that the G60 8v is more suited too low down grunt and there is good mid range boost there and pickup and its pretty pointless going near the redline as the boost tends too trail off and so does power. So would you think 12PSI is okay for a stage 4 like mine ? Ill have to get off me arse and order a proper boost gauge anyway. Mark

    boost pressure

Checked out this cool little trick yesterday and got a max reading off 1800 when pushing hard in 4th gear. Nearly 100mph so couldnt push anymore. how do I convert this into PSI or BAR ?? Does it sound healthy enough for a 68mm pully ??
  20. How are AMD rated these days ?? Dont seem to hear much about them on the forums ?? MPG= worse  Its not the best how it stands at the moment
  21. Would fuel consumption be up a hell of a lot with red tops fitted ?? Also, would it require a remap too suit the new injectors. I have a 68mm pully, AMD chip (which I thik is a bit dated) and a stage 4 blower. There is a print out for 181bhp and 200 lbs from AMD tuning when they did the work but that was back in 94 !! A porchse FPR is on the cards and I might be persuaded too go for better injectors and an SNS chip if it will see me the other side of 200brake.
  22. Bit max pooer maybe ?? i persume its very similar too an N/A engine induction noise ??
  23. This is just for induction noise I take it ???
  24. Will be fitting this setup too my C at the weekend all going well. ALso have these in my GOlf mk2 and its by far the best all round kit I have come across. Did you fit new top mounts, ARB links etc? If they are anyway soft or on their way out this new suspension will speed up the deterioration process. New bumps stops too I persume :)
