  1. Thanks Sean for the info. On any lower scale on the meter, I just got a '1' (infinity?) so I guess they're both kaput?!
  2. Just picking up on this I've tested my front two only so far as my ABS light is on most of the time, occasionally it goes out. I tested the male end of the plugs at the strut tops and with the multimeter set on the 20k scale, I got readings of 19.6 and 14.7. Would this suggest that both are faulty? Any help is appreciated as I can hold a multi meter but not very good at interpreting the results! lol
  3. Hi Angus Well it took you 20 years but you got there in the end! lol Me too, I had never been in a Corrado until this August when I picked up mine and couldn't believe what I'd been missing - it was meant to be! That sucks on the matrix and a good heads-up for everyone else. At least once you're sorted you know you'll never have to do it again! Can you actually see the matrix at all before removing all the dash. I don't think mine has ever been done so it would be useful if check it over I guess, if that's at all possible? Your interior looks nice by the way, how is the rest of the car?
  4. Good choice, welcome and looking forward to pics! :thumbleft:
  5. I thought it was paint - looks great. If it was just cleaning I wanted to know your secret! lol
  6. That's looking shiny! Was that just cleaning or have you painted too?
  7. Oh no that sucks!! The C looks great though, nice job ;)
  8. Nice buy Chuggs, that looks great ;) I agree with the indy garage if you're not doing work yourself. I looked in to using my local VW dealer on a MK1 Golf purely to maintain the fully stamped history it came with. However, when I got their prices and realised how little they did on the car I just couldn't bring myself to do it, so serviced it myself in the end.
  9. Well done, surprised they sat around for this long, they're cracking seats ;-)
  10. Well it was a nice meet up this afternoon, and it stayed mostly dry although a tad cold!! Great to meet some new people and put faces to names! Here's a couple of pics - the five C's that showed and I had to put one up of Dave's engine bay as it's rather nice!! See you at the next! ;)
  11. Sun out in Stamford now, blue sky, happy days! Sorry to hear that Jim, hope you feel better soon ;)
  12. Yep defo free for this one now so see you all there tomorrow :thumbleft:
  13. You can add me to the list too please ;)
  14. That's frustrating for you! Thanks for looking in to it ;)
  15. Just noticed I'm not getting these either. I get the new post in a topic notification but an email for a new PM seems to have stopped within the last week-ish
  16. Not sure yet I'm free, but if I am I'll be there ;)
  17. The copper may look like that as she could have just grabbed and twisted his nut sack! ;)
  18. Here you go - https://www.vwheritage.com/vw_act_vwclassicParts.search.htm?classicSearchText=535853393 Three are required. It stopped my grill rattling and sounding like it was going to fall out! :)
  19. Thought I should treat mine to a wash today - only did it last weekend but it's too brown now! Now it's clean, I fitted the VW grille and badge combo now that the rubber grommets for the lower three tabs turned up from VW Heritage. I'm not actually sure yet if I prefer this to the debadged one or not? I'll live with it for a while and see how I feel ;)
  20. Thanks for the comments. I'll have to check, I'm pretty sure they were 6 not 6.5. ET45. I'm not a fan of spacers either. I can at least chuck one on the car and see how it looks I guess ;)
