I did wonder that myself but my old ones were this way around. I've not tried them the other way but not sure they'll fit?
-
...here you go, excuse the mucky carpet!
-
Yes I can do that later no probs ;) The shape of the rears were ever so slightly different to what came out, but they still fit ok.
-
Sounds a good idea. I now need to buy a decent set for shows lol
-
That looks really nice. Loving the all red rears ;-)

Yeah defo a LED, it's a new switch. I've ordered some tint film so I'll hopefully dull it down a bit with that ;)

Welcome to the forum Chris! I'm not a million miles away, near Stamford. FYI we have a meet in Leicester first Wednesday of every month with the MK1 Golf Owners Club. However, it's not limited to MK1's, we have MK2's and the odd Corrado (mine included) turn up. Feel free to show up to the next one, it's a good crowd and a good laugh too. Details will be on here shortly before - https://www.facebook.com/groups/mk1golfoc/?fref=nf

The mats arrived today and I have to say I'm really pleased with them. Naturally at the price they're not the thickest carpet in the world - but I didn't expect them to be - and to be honest, the quality is great. If I had paid more I wouldn't have been too disappointed so overall I'm very happy. The fit isn't too bad either ;)

I know I'm a fussy bugger! lol The dimmer switch doesn't dim this one.

Thanks for the tips, it had crossed my mind about spraying/tinting to darken it, I'll have to have a look at that. I just have an issue with bright-ish lights in my peripheral vision. Don't know why but my eyes don't like it! lol
-
Ah ok, it's a shame as it looks great, I just know it will get on my tits! lol
-
ooo yes they're nice!
-
That looks great ;)

Nice find! I like the statement 'a yawning gap in the market' - must have been a good German/English translation lol

It could just need a clean. Seat belts hold a surprising amount of much and dirt and it can have this effect. Get some upholstery shampoo, something like the Auto Glym spray foam is good. Pull the seat belt all of the way out and clip it so it doesn't retract at all. Then spray it with the foam and give it a good soak/scrub/clean in a bowl of water. Dry as much as you can with a towel and then leave it fully unwound until dry. Hopefully this will fix it assuming it's not the mechanism itself. I've done this on a few cars and it's solved the problem for me.

Oh no gutted!! As long as you're ok, that's the important part. How's the chassis leg? Will it be a simple-ish fix?
-
Nicely done, it's good to spread it out sometimes I think, it will feel like a quick job when you get the matrix! Tesa tape is the one to go for, cheap on ebay ;)

....is the standard C headlight switch illumination really dazzling? I fitted mine today - and it looks great in the dash. But when I drove home from work tonight in the dark I found it really bright in the corner of my eye - plus it's reflecting in the wing mirror which is really off putting. Where they really like this from the factory? In any case it's coming out tomorrow :(

Nice buy mate, looks a bargain ;-)

Had two new tyres fitted today on the front, plus they fitted my adjustable camber bolts for a tenner - happy days! Had a full geo check and setup done again too. It rides so much nicer now, I think the front tyres were just old and hard. Hopefully it will sort the tramlining. Before when I went to overtake on a single carriage way, when you crossed the centre line the car wanted to veer all over the place!

Lmao class mistake! Good idea baron ;-)

Jees I must be going blind - I read it but mist have skimmed it!! - saw the drawing too! Thanks guys for pointing out the obvious, I'll open my eyes next time LOL

LOL yeah know that, the trouble is I don't notice it when I'm in the car driving it! I'm trying to get the things I can see sorted first, at some point I'll paint the driver's wing that needs doing. In the meantime, I just love driving it!
