Corrado Crystal Rear Light set with looms - SOLD
Hairyarse replied to Hairyarse's topic in Parts for Sale
Hi Andy Thanks for your interest. I've just checked the Royal Mail site and cheapest signed for is £14.85!! However, looking at Parcels2Go, Yodel can do 2-3 day service for £7.19 if that suits? I wouldn't organise collection until Tuesday as I wont be about all day Monday - assuming you want it sorted that quickly. Let me know ;) Cheers Andy -
Corrado Crystal Rear Light set with looms For sale is one set of crystal rear lights for the Corrado. They are used and in excellent condition with no cracks or scratches. The top of the units are chromed and have a few small scuffs as pictured. The lights come with the bulb holders and looms which you need to splice in to the existing loom. This is for the outer lights only, the tailgate mounted lights use the original bulb holders. There are no bulbs with these units so you would need amber indicator bulbs to use with these. I can supply wiring instructions. 40 plus P&P at cost or collect from Stamford, PE9 Any questions, just ask ;) Andy List Date: 9/20/2014 For more info, click here to view the original listing: Corrado Crystal Rear Light set with looms -------------------------------------- SOLD -------------------------------------- Mobile friendly version: Corrado Crystal Rear Light set with looms Go Mobile: Download the free Panjo iOS app now!

I'd be up for one

Yes indeed! I saw a MK2 Golf recently with R32 and Haldex. It was a really nice install. Professionally executed but no bling and driven daily - perfect!
-
Begging for help now PLEASE :) Can anyone help at all? Either guesses on what the issue is or what the temp sender is actually connected to as guess that must be the issue? I've been digging around but no solutions yet :( Thanks in advance ;)

Welcome to the forum Do it!!

Welcome Lee. R32 all the way ;)

Thanks for the pics, that's cool. I wanted to see them as wanted to know if need to replace both mirrors so they match
-
Thanks for the review, I think I'm about to be buying one as my drivers side mirror doesn't de-mist. This may be a nobbish question, but I notice the word blue in the title of the ebay item. Is the glass tinted blue? If so can you put a pic up of it please? :)

Ah ok. I like the silver although they're a little tatty. With the black VW badge though I'm not sure if one day I'll make them all the same!
-
Thank you, do I take it from your comment that they're not standard?

I know, drives me crackers, it's not exactly hard to do it well, even if you can't solder!! Here's a couple of shots from when I got the car; A number of little bits and pieces to sort, not least the running issues, so if anyone has any pointers I'd be very grateful ;) http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?t=88451&page=2&p=1044392#post1044392

Oh sorry Adam, I didn't realise it was an old thread! Always a shame when you have to sell a car out of necessity :(
-
Welcome both! That's one lovely looking Corrado, love it ;) Your MK1's look good too :) Are you on the MK1 OC forum as well Adam? You'll find me there with the same user name ;)

Any takers on this one? I'm stumped as to where to look next. To add, I checked for fault codes tonight and the only one was 00522, telling me that the temp. sender is disconnected.

I thought it was about time I started a 'build' thread for my tinkerings and goings-on with the Corrado. Today it was time to lose the crystal rear lights and go back to standard. I have to say I'm surprised I had any lights at all - either attached to the car or working!! The light units were barely secured on, despite not moving around in the body and the loom kit for the crystal lights had just got the wire ends twisted with the original wires and taped with electrical tape! Firstly, much thanks to Leon for his great post on how I should wire up the new bulb holders, thanks mate! - http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?t=88419&p=1043846&viewfull=1#post1043846 Naturally I had to take the obligatory half 'n' half shot; ...however there was no debate on how this was going to end; You may notice from the second pic that it was dark when I finished. I was thinking it would be a quick job, but due to some cruddy connections I had problems with the reverse and fog lights choosing to either not work, or work randomly after disconnecting and re-connecting them. After a lot of messing about and cleaning contacts - and 3 hours later it was done!! Much more time than anticipated but I like the look, it looks much better me thinks :-D

MOT passed again for another year, but....
Hairyarse replied to corrado wannabe's topic in General Car Chat
Oh cool! Yes I'm loving the Corrado, hence it quickly being adopted as my daily! :) I'm glad to hear you've at least some MK1 still ;) -
I've just fitted the new temp sensor and still have the same problem. Unplug it and it runs fine again (well, about 95% fine) Idle is a tiny bit lumpy and MPG down about 10%. I'm guessing that the issue must be with whatever this sensor wire is connected to? Does anyone have any pointers please as I'm a little lost now! Many thanks ;)

Well that must be the case, why not!

Hairyarse replied to corrado wannabe's topic in General Car Chat
It may be something you put up with from an MOT point of view if they're not failing it? I had a 944 where some years they would advise on play in bearings, and other years not, despite not having replaced or touched them -
Yeah that bugs me when you're expected to pay. I did have a seller mess up an order and send me the wrong spark plugs for a car but fair play, they covered the return postage. There are some decent sellers about still - doesn't help your frustration though! lol

Ah well found Jon ;)
