  1. They've arrived! I'll start packing them tomorrow and looking at courier costs.
  2. ...thanks for sending all the addresses through too, those that have :thumbleft:
  3. You're added ;) Ok got a bit premature with the excitement. Only the box of boxes to send your kits out in has arrived - the kits are still in transit! Will update on arrival ;)
  4. Afternoon all. I'm not at my unit today but my neighbour has taken delivery of a parcel which I'm pretty certain is our foam kits. I've got a busy few days on but will start tomorrow with packing them up ready. Therefore please can I ask you all to PM me the following; Full name and address for delivery Mobile number Any time preference for delivery (I'll get quotes accordingly) I can then finalise p&p charges and obtain your final payments. And last call if anyone wants glue & tar remover. If you'd like to collect your kit then you are more than welcome to from PE9 3DW. I hope all is clear, let me know if you need any further info. Cheers Andy
  5. Haha welcome Tony!! Have you driven a C before? I've had MK1s and 2s - still a massive MK1 fan but my recent (last August) acquaintance with Corrados and I'm hooked!!
  6. Yes weird, wouldn't have expected that.
  7. Fingers crossed! Bizarrely I still miss it!:thumbleft:
  8. On a 1.8 16v KR engine you can feel the ISV buzzing if you hold it - plus if you spray cleaner in with the electrical plug on and turn the ignition on it will spit the cleaner out. I'm not sure if the same can be said for the VR? Maybe hold it first, see if you feel it operating?
  9. Wayne, hang-in there, it's most likely a simple and cheap fix that will sort the stalling issue. Yes, you have to find it, but don't sell up just yet! You could end up buying another car with more problems.
  10. I'm afraid I can't help too much. However, do a search of the forum and I know there is some threads about the ABS lights. I searched a few months ago when I had a problem with my 16v ABS light staying on. From memory there are three types of ABS light. The one in my car had been chopped in to the loom as it wasn't the original type. My part number ended in BA - I think there's an AA and one other?

Ah that makes perfect sense Andy, I didn't realise that you were planning such a full-on resto of the car. I get your thinking now ;)
  12. Sorry you've not managed to sort it Toby. I'm well and truly stumped as to what it could be now? Unless the lambda has actually failed, even though the connections are good? As it's not the original you wouldn't expect so, but who knows. Any error codes if you scan the car?
  13. Just did a vehicle enquiry and the Corrado hasn't been MOTd since June 2007 but if it went to Ireland that could be the explanation for that showing. The MK3 Golf doesn't show up at all, no record! Looks a nice one, I loved mine although prefer my VR C much more! ;)
  14. The kits are en-route! :thumbleft: Not certain on delivery date yet but would anticipate early next week. Will keep you all updated :thumbleft:
  15. I think if you delete cookies and clear cache this can sometimes sort the 502 issue?? I'll add you to the reserves list Cheers Andy

It's amazing how much space a broken car takes up! lol I've heard mixed reviews on shell dipping. I'm no expert on it mind, although when I looked in to the cost, if you have all processes done (i.e. before and after you've done your welding) then I think it was about £3500! If you're doing an E-type or similar I can understand it, but for a car at this value I'm not so sure it's worth it? There's a lot to be said for the original corrosion protection (in places) so if it were me I'd make localised repair as necessary, strip the underseal to make sure nothing is hidden, then reapply and paint. Your car though! lol Looking forward to your updates ;)
  17. Price range seems quite wide but I guess you're starting in the £2-3k ballpark, depending how mint you want it to be. Find one that's solid, and ideally with timing chains, clutch and heater matrix recently replaced and then you shouldn't have too much to worry about!
  18. Yes that makes perfect sense, I loved my 944T and would have another, but think I feel more at home in the C too ;)
  19. Thanks for the time feedback for cleaning the old off! Daniel - I've added you next on the reserve list, and the now three people on the reserve list can be the first three on the next group buy. I don't know if I'll have time to organise the next but am sure something will get sorted ;) The kits should be dispatched from Germany by tomorrow :thumbleft:
  20. Very nice. Are you pleased that you made the switch back to the C now?
