  1. Hey, My VR6 is overheaing all the time. Once the car's been running for more than about 20 minutes, either in traffic or on the motorway it reaches 110°C [the 2nd level fan starts], then continues to slowy rise until about 115°C, when the coolant light comes on. Before this I have to turn the heater on to help cool the whole thing down, but this is obviously not a permenant solution. I've checked the fuses for the fans, and in the last few months the following has been replaced; Water pump Radiator fan switch Thermostat [+ housing] Does anyone know what else could be causing this? Cheers in advance.....
  2. I brought one through my mate at VW, and the Sump pan & gasket came to £70, i think it was about £18 ish for the gasket. I know the patent pans are usually about £40.
  3. Hi guys, just wondering if anyone knows for sure the position for the plug that seems to have come loose when I took the dash out? It's the brown plug that goes into a gold connection by the drivers door on a VR6......the only one that has a clip release thing on it, unlike the others. Not that I can remember, but it looks like it went into one of the 3 connections near the others, all beautifully pointed out on the picture below! Cheers :?
  4. Hi guys, I know it's a stupid question, but can anyone shed some light on how to drain the coolant from my VR6?? I'm replacing the heater matrix on saturday, so there may well not be much left in the system after all that steam, but worth doing anyway. Also, anyone know roughly how much G12+ I'll be needing to re-fill ? Cheers in advance, Ben

    AMD me

Only expressing my opinion, that from my own experience, I'll never be letting AMD touch my car again. I seriously doubt that anyone can get sued over someone sharing an opinon like that. Not as if Andi has put a banner across the top of the site saying they're rubbish or anything!

    AMD me

Good choice.....AMD are a bunch of bandits. :pirate:
  7. People definately do love the Corrado, noticed it loads after not driving it for 3 months, when I got it back! :D
  8. without....got one myself, but it's not quite right, imho....
  9. Blue Storm, N Reg, right behind me from Merton Abbey Mills through Tooting Bec [lovely place]....on the A24 this morning ?
  10. Blackberry is LK4Z, could it be Twighlight Violet LC4T ?
  11. Think someone just mentioned it, but those pictures on the other thread didn't look Blackberry at all, much darker ?
  12. Tried Adrian Flux for the insurance?....best by a country mile when I last renewed.
  13. I had the same situation when I got mine, as I didn't have any documentation of what it was. I went along to the local stealers to ask them to "inspect" the alarm, and write what it was, and that it worked, on some letterheaded paper. Worked a treat, and was free [now that's a first!! :| ] Edit: Factory alarm btw...that's why the VW people could recognise it.
  14. nope, not too keen. Not really bothered by the matte paint, although I don't want it on mine!!
  15. I think he must have had a good idea to begin with, but he's clearly lost his mind at some point after, possibly just before the stickers, tasles and wheels were chosen? :?
  16. Did he make off with it ? Also, do they have a website for these covers, sounds nice?
  17. I've got the In.Pro version of these on my Blackberry VR, so judge for yourself.....I think they look great :) http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic.php?t=14936
  18. I like them, but they'd create way to much attention for the car, and not the good kind. Like the thieves need more of a reason to steal my car , I'll advertise it with these !!!
  19. Should have just set the bloody thing alight! Harsh, but fair. :D
  20. I think you need the sideskirts to match the RS4 bu,per, or the car looks odd from side on. From what I've seen on some Corrados, you can get away without doing the rear.
  21. ok, never knew it existed!
