I've done a search, but fruitless so far  Anyone have any details of E38 2005 ?
-
I had what could only be described as a Bob Marley lookalike actually ask me how much I wanted for the car, while we were driving along next to each other on a dual carrigeway!!...... :!: "Not for sale thanks"

Cheers Agrade, Yes it is.......it's even better when it moves!! :D

There's always Danny at MCM, [near Guildford]....hard to get hold of, but knows his stuff, and a nice guy to boot! :D As for AmD, bunch of bandits. Took the VR there for a few things in November, including fitting the coilovers. Thought the car was sitting a bit strangely, so when I took it in to another garage, as I suspected, AmD had put the coilovers on about 5mm lower on the divers side, leaving the car lop sided!! ***** As well as having to put up with the attitude that you get from them, as kevhaywire says. AmD.....Never again.

Looking for my 1st Corrado, which one do I go for?
anubis replied to keizerschoze2002's topic in General Car Chat
I started off with a G60, and it was great fun,......but when the time came to get a newer Corrado I went for a VR6....amazing. A VR6 would be my recommendation, but we're probably all bias in one way or another! -
blue VR6 hacking it down the A3 northbound under the Mew Malden / Wocester Park Underpass about 6:15 This evening ??

Awesome....gonna be getting that... :D
-
Welcome.... :)

Silver VR6 in the mess that is Clapham Sainsbury's car park Lunch time Friday?
-
I had a Weitec kit before the coilovers, very good it was. :D
-
Quite probably...... :D

It's a VR6, but it's also having a Service / MOT Leads and Plugs. I'm only guessing about the price, but was quoted around £1000 for the head etc...
-
Hi Guys, slight issue, not too sure what to do, I suppose it's like preaching to the converted :) , but thoughts would be appreciated: The car needs a new head, which, with labour, MOT & other small issues will potentially come to around £1600 +. Question is, do I bite the bullett and have the work done, or do I sell it to someone willing to fork out on it ? :?

Phil, .....the blackberry VR6 at MCM is mine. Don't like the sound of that about the head! Haven't heard from Danny yet, could be tears before bedtime, I'm thinking.

Hi Guys, Continued form a much earlier thread, I need a reliable Garage that knows what they're doing, to work on my car. Idealy in South London or Surrey, and also not a VW main dealer, becsaue of the obvious fleecing problems, and dubious technical corrado knowledge [especially VW Epsom]. I was given the number for Danny at MCM in Milford Surrey a while back, amid high recommendations, but they never answer their phone, and don't reply to answerphone messages. Annoying. So if anyone can recommend a garage in the area, I'd be very grateful.... :)

I would personally never bother with RSD in my opinion. Absolutely incompetent in every dealing I've ever had with them. You may be able to get a set of 17 RE's from ebay. Apparently it's best to make sure that they come with the bolts & spacers, or you'll have to buy them from guess who......RSD.....oh the fun.

Saab & Volvo drivers. Complete half wits. Something about the safety must somehow make them believe that they own the roads.

Late reg Green VR6 ??....going in the opposite direction in the lovely town of Balham. Friday night 10 Dec, about 9:45 ??

Not so far as I can tell......sure he doesn't mean bouncy as in soft ? There's nothing bouncy about the weitec, it's hard, and sometimes jarring!
-
Yeah, that's about right, although I haven't tested them propperly just yet. The Weitec kit is great, and made the car look awesome, but was a nightmare over speedbumps [which is all that the councils in south London spend their money on]. The gaurd on the cat would regularly scrape on the speedbumps, and I even cracked an oil sump by hitting one too fast. :( The primary reason I've changed is to fit the new wheels....which aren't even on yet  I got the FK kit from http://www.venommotorsport.com for £590 including next day delivery. The guy there's really helpfull.
-
I've just changed my Weitec kit for a set of FK Königsport [lot's of people checking the spelling around here lately  ] Coilovers, and the ride is quite a bit softer, and not that much higher at all. The shocks in the coilvers are Koni. Also, can adjust them at any time !
