Checked image on Google & look spot on. Ordered today. Thanks Chuggs. :thumbleft:

Great minds think alike! That had crossed my mind & I've been looking for someone local to see if they can do it. :thumbleft:

Update on the mats. Spoke to my local dealer about it &, much to my surprise, said he could get a set but wasn't sure if they would have the Corrado embroidered on them. I decided to take a chance as I knew they would be better than what I have. £54.00 to find out. They are decent quality & fit well, rear ones not quite right, the front ones are near spot on. That said I'm sure the last set I bought for my old Corrado back in 2007 or so were even better quality &,of course, had Corrado on them. Still looking for a set if anyone has them!

Don't see many in this part of the world! White L reg Corrado, possibly a 16v, (too dark to see) crossing Scotswood bridge & onto Chainbridge Road to Blaydon early this morning.

Good work Chuggs! :thumbleft:

Chuggs, If you come up with anything please let us know. I bought the ones from VW Heritage & whilst they fit they are not correct. Too shallow & very fiddly to fit & remove.

Sean, Sent you a PM.

Still looking. Anyone?

Me too! :bonk: I've been after one for ages with no luck.

That's very kind of you Stonejag but I'm really after the black carpet type. Cheers, Steve

Posted in wanted section but thought I'd put it on here too. Morning chaps. I'm looking for a set of original Corrado mats, the black carpet type with 'Corrado' on them. New would be very nice (!) or excellent condition. If anybody can help please PM me. Your price (within reason!) paid.

Dave, many thanks for the offer but I really need black one's to go with the Storm interior. If I can't find any I'll come back to you. Cheers, Steve

That is seriously impressive work. Well done!

That looks lovely &, dare I say it, in the best colour too!

Welcome! This is a great site. Very friendly & lots of helpful advice. I bought my Storm earlier this year & have embarked on a mini resto. The thread is in the Newbies section. I was very lucky with some of the parts I needed but no doubt about it some are very difficult to source, but that's half the fun! Enjoy the car. :thumbleft:

Awful company to deal with. Lost my details, forms etc. several times, & then I had to pay an additional £25.00 for agreed value which their adviser did not mention in the original quote. I will not renew with them next year. Should have learned my lesson as I had exactly the same experience with my MX5 with them!. Carloe Nash for me. Easy to deal with, less forms & good prices.

Will do. Thanks! :thumbleft:

Didn't know there was one! I presume you have to ask to join the group?

I think it took him about five weeks. Initially it was two to three but, like you I didn't want to rush him as long as it didn't turn into months. Been down that road with another car! The car was pretty good to start with. There was some light corrosion on the lips of the wings & a bubble near one of the screw holes where it had crept. The worst are was the bottom of the NSR wheel arch but once ground back to bright metal was pretty good. The NS wing was removed on mine due to a dent & needed to be realigned. I decided to keep mine fairly standard apart from slightly lowered suspension. I like the factory look & there are very few of them left, especially Storms.

I'm being picky! Two very small 'foreign bodies' in the paint & the recess, where the rear hatch is could be better. I'm sure if I instructed him to remove the rubber seal & paint he would have. Apart from that I'm very happy! I have no idea what paint he used but it is a very very good match to the original.

I couldn't get anyone to remove the rear windows. Such a tricky job no one would touch them! I told the painter I didn't want a hard edge around the rear window seals & I'm not quite sure what he did but there isn't. You would think they had been removed it's that good. Think is was down to very careful masking & some 'special' tape that prevented hard edges? Brakes are standard I believe. A long way to come for a respray but, for the money, a very good job. Not perfect but very good & I'm pleased, which is what matters.
