1. Nice work! Are the rear number plate lights still available from VW?
2. Hmmm. Sounded too good to be true. 90 Watchers so a lot of interest.
3. Checked mine yesterday. 20 amp in one & 15 amp in the other. Both have 20 amp fuses in now, presume that is OK?
4. I've got a Rayne Automotive loom kit fitted with Nightbreakers too. I thought the quality looked spot on. Interesting about the 15amp fuse blowing. Going to change mine to 20amp too to be on the safe side.
5. Just like to add my thanks to Chris too. :thumbleft: I've had a few bits from him & he has been very helpful with my Corrado Storm & always answers my many questions. In fact since my return to the Corrado scene, it is without doubt, the most friendly, knowledgeable & enthusiastic bunch of people you could wish to meet. Makes owning a Corrado (& we all know how difficult they can be!) all the more pleasurable.
6. It's April 1st isn't it? That's just about as poor an example of a Corrado I've seen in a while. Knock the 3 off the front of the asking price & he might have a chance. Fair play to him on the description though!
7. Shame it had to go Chris but I also work in the oil & gas sector & we're all a bit jittery too! That said oil is on the up again, petrol too. I followed the thread on this car & the attention to detail was incredible & I think the dealer price is not unrealistic for such a car. The last Corrado rolled off the production line some twenty years ago so in 'classic' terms not that old really. Prices, for good one's, will continue to be strong & as they become fewer in number that will help also. My only worry is the scarcity of parts! Good luck for the future, & you never know, you may have another one yet!
8. Anyone got a warning triangle? I think the correct part number is 000 093 055D? I have one but it is just too wide to go in the seat slot. Drop me a PM please if you have one. Cheers, Steve
9. Look what came in the post today. My broken one has been bugging me for ages & finally found one on the Bay. Quick clean up & it's as good as they get. Another piece of the jigsaw!
10. Me too! Saw this happen with my other passion, MK2 Escorts, & already happening with Corrado parts. If you want something NLA your going to have to pay for it. Same will go for the cars obviously!
11. As a few have said, now obsolete & if you want some, as I do, it is what it is! More for show really so not really bothered about how they wear. My car won't do 1,000 miles a year so will see my ownership out!
12. Sorted with Dave. Much appreciated for that Chris. :thumbleft:
13. Car looks great, some real nice touches. well done! I'm in the process of gathering the parts for a brake refurb myself. Did you source new front & rear brake shields & if you did can I ask where you got them from please?
14. Sure do. Top work in sourcing them Chuggs! :thumbleft:
15. Some little touches. Correct wheel nut covers fitted. Original alarm sticker. Now collecting the bits for a brake refurb, including a slight deviation from standard, 288mm front's.
16. Funnily enough a chap at work left a Mini magazine on the desk, so being an enthusiast of all things automotive I had a browse. The prices of classic Mini's are really strong & when you consider how many millions were produced, the poor build quality & tame performance this is, I think, surprising. The Corrado is definitely on the rise. It ticks all the right boxes including one the Mini can't, exclusivity which in a classic car is always a positive.
17. Read the Evo magazine feature this morning. Great article & the car looks excellent! About time the Corrado got the recognition it rightly deserves!
18. Excellent! The profile of the Corrado has been under the radar for far too long & prices have been rather low (good if your a buyer!) but seems to be gathering momentum in recent months. Article in Evo magazine today too.
19. Mat update. Managed to get an embroidery firm to 'Corrado' my mats. Not quite as the original ones & cost £10.00 per mat plus a £12.00 charge for the set up but it was one of those little touches that I like. Forgot to mention, if anyone is interested I may be able to do them for other people but the cost may put some off. The mats are £54.00 & £20.00 for the embroidery plus £5.00 for my time & petrol costs (embroidery firm is about 15 miles from home) , then there is carriage, probably £6.00 to £8.00. So £85.00 approx. Is anyone is interested PM me.

22. Done this recently on mine. Try eBay or local motor factor. Mine was a Meyle part so decent quality. You will need the VW part number to cross reference.
23. Thanks for the heads up Sean but just logged on now & missed them by minutes! Gutted.:pale: I'm in the process of getting the Votex one's I bought (on my Newbie's thread0 embroidered with 'Corrado' so all is not lost.
24. I'm sorted, thanks. I got one from Sean on here.
