1. Thanks! Hope you get sorted. :thumbleft:
2. Excellent body shop in Prudhoe, Northumberland, KD Burns 01661 598161. Painted my Storm last year & did an excellent job. Look at my thread in Newbies section, 'first pics of Storm'. Normally very busy but takes time to listen to your requirements & does a proper job.
3. Great stuff! Many thanks Jim. :thumbleft:
4. I'd take a set too if you do them please! :thumbleft:
5. I've got one mate. It's perfectly useable as it is, bit of rust on the bottom, or you could get it blasted & powder coated. Looking for £40.00 including P&P. PM if your interested. Cheers, Steve
6. I bought this 65,000 mile 225 earlier this year & really like it! Different power delivery to a VR6 & feels really planted on the road & much better to drive than a lot would have you believe. Few niggles to sort out, thermostat, duff CD player & ARB bushes. Great build quality & only now am I beginning to think they look nice. Didn't like them when they were newer! I also think, & it's just my personal opinion, that the MK1 Audi TT is going to be a bit sought after in the future.
7. I fitted the -30mm H&R springs to mine & had the same confusion with the spring plates! Mine is a late VR but I think we ended up using earlier ones as the width of the H&R spring didn't sit correctly in the later type.
8. Mystic blue Storm. Good choice! :thumbleft:
9. Used -30mm H&R springs with standard Sachs dampers on mine, with H/D Meyle top mounts & the standard, for my 96 model year, top mount plates I think. Sure they had MK3 Golf on the box too.
10. Headlight switch here: http://www.the-corrado.net/showthread.php?85919-2014-Headlight-Switch-Group-Buy-Now-Arrived!
11. Must have been gutting to sell the Storm. Welcome back & the car looks really well. :thumbleft:
12. Right. I've got some of these What are the other type as I'm changing mine soon?
13. Am I right in thinking there is only one type of bulb for all the dash illumination?
14. Savage lad! I got some from my local car shop. About a £1.00 each I think!
15. I think the Corrado is still an absolute steal compared with other cars of the same era, which is good for the genuine enthusiast wanting one. Compared to a similar vintage Ford, classic Mini, Golf, etc. the Corrado is more stylish, quicker & rarer (subjective I know). To drive they still feel special. We really shouldn't complain when cars are making good money, the Corrado deserves to be worth more & at the end of the day if someone really wants a nice one they will pay for it as the choice is very limited.
16. Great picture! Recognise Verity. Looking well Chris.
17. Current one about a year & a half & going no where! Took it out for a drive the other day & it was so enjoyable, a real treat as i don't use it every day.
18. This. I sacked them off for sheer incompetence, losing my pictures & forms not twice but three times! Made me wonder what they would be like to deal with in the event of a claim. Transferred my classic policies to Carole Nash. Straight forward to deal with, less form filling & good prices.
19. Golf R32. Good choice! :thumbleft: I drove one a couple of weeks ago & was quite impressed, so much so I might get one myself next year to keep the Corrado company.
20. That's the thing with Corrado's, they're never finished! As they are old cars now there is always something to replace/fix. I'm sure it's the same with most twenty odd year old cars.
21. Thanks mate. Always wanted to own a Mystic Blue Storm from the very first time I saw one when they were new in 95. 20 years later I've got one & I love it! It's a keeper. I'm sure with time, & a bit money, you'll get your's where you want it. I'm not finished with mine yet. Complete brake overhaul, including new calipers, back plates etc next on the list. Then quite a few niggley little jobs. Corrado's are never finished! Good luck with your's. :thumbleft:
22. Cheers Chris & many thanks once again. :thumb right:
