 Mine works fine - just the base looks tired, brittle seals... So may get a new one with shorter aerial? No leaks! Missing a-pillar screw cover :(
-
Awesome! :awesome: Awww - I see I have my a-pillar screw covers missing then :( Anyone got some spare - cheap?!!? I forgot I also want to replace my roof attenna. Ones on VeeDubMachine looks OK for a complete set £14.99??? Any other recommendations? What's FUBAR seal for aerial? What's RTV?

Cool! Let me do more research, have C in garage, and have time - then give it a good go - thanks Stuart! :)
-
U promise? If so, I may try to remove mind once C s in the garage so that I may try experimenting with re-spraying the sunroof panel?
-
Have thought about it, Stuart! But there are certain things I do NOT attempt! I know my limits!!! Somehow I prefer the outside look of a solid paint sunroof. But then I prefer a glass roof from inside to let light in. I even looked at getting a 1990s Passat glass sun roof.. In the end: 1. Beyond my limits :( 2. Extra costs :( :( 3. Not really a priority now as others issues to sort... But rust free, non-leaky sun roof "is" a priority....
-
Cheers bud! :D Exactly what I wanted to hear from some one! :thumb right: I am determined to rid it of rust - proper! Epoxy primer AND dremel it is!
-
Thanks Stuart! :thumb right: Hopefully my motor is OK. But reading other threads - I think its neigh impossible to fix my broken tilt. So I just want to : 1. Check if drains are OK 2. Fix any rust 3. See if sunroof can be fixed to work...else will just leave it...

Yes Sir! Sergent Major! Sir!

What's high build? Seller sold me car as CANDY WHITE - not sure if OEM? So much bad TouchUp everywhere :( Plan was to take to a good body shop I know. But now can't justify cost - so looking at doing the worse bits myself...
-
Usual sunroof not work, Stuart! Hence I darent open the sunroof since day 1  The seller said it opens, but does not tilt to close or something. On the day I bought it - I asked if he can show me what is wrong - he declined :( So I have not tried opening it since in case it gets stuck or break. I did play around with a spare sunroof thrown in with the car... ...and to be honest it is not something I like to use (Allen key to squeaky and snapping and one side moves quicker than the other side of the sunroof ) So I am NOT touching that sunroof until the C is inside my home garage!

:new-bday: To me then

Lol Thing is on here, i not gone mental and hijacked anyone s thread yet! ;) I happy trying to fix my car 1st! If ever i get it to the point i am happy with!

Lol I did go mad at one point on the Toyota Celica forum... Was on there like 24/7 ...to the point I listed all the new posts that moment in time...and EVERY ONE of them had a reply from me. I think members thought I was so mad...they awarded me the "TO BE MOST COMMITED MEMBER" that year  I think the award was more for that I was living, sleeping, eating on the forum than having anything constructive to contribute.... The person who won the MOST COMMITTED "did" contribute constructively to the forum ...bless him! :D Let me find that award....

Working from home (wink)(wink) ;) So, Nope!
-
 I am on leave ;) Have to use up my leave in March or lose it!
-
No no no! It means I need to wind the sunroof back manually by Allen key.. And should the sunroof get stuck opened and the heaven open up.... I will try it when the C is safely parked in my garage at home!
-
I do NOT want to tell work I got RSI from a PC air duster! :(
-
And ordered from ECP: 2 parts filler (Davids P38 ) - this OK I think? And Hycote etch primer - think I will return this and buy epoxy primer instead?
-
Guys Is normal spray paint OK? I bought a can of WHITE primer and WHITE gloss and WHITE lacquer from Wilkinson yesterday as generic spray cans (not cars)... ...shall I take em back and buy from motor factor or ECP instead?

I love both Aldi / Lidl tools! Will check em out too! :thumb right:

I do too! But u know they not always spot on! Went to a restaurant with excellent TripAdvisor reviews - it was rubbish! So everything with a pinch of salt! But, Chuggs - since we both on similar steep learning curve here - I trust u Will deffo think about getting those 2 items u recommended :thumb right: Saves me £££ ;)
