  1. Cheers guys Dox - I do have a tyre inflator :thumb right: Chuggs - nope! Jim - they powerful enough?
  2. Hmmmm Does look good AND 2year warranty :thumb right: Will consider!
  3. I know what u saying When I sold my Skoda with satnav ... I decided to save money and bought a Chinese fancy satnav ...big 7", play DVDs etc and good write up....in the end it was rubbish..had push screen tech (not tough screen) - thanks god I got refund (but minus returned fee :()
  4. I think that's my car! U not seen my in the metal yet have u?
  5. Cheers bud I don't have an airline :( Nor justify buying one :( Actually are airline cheap? What other uses are they for?
  6. Believe me - i will need to go thru rolls n rolls of tape! Still it was good learning experience :thumb right:
  7. Cheers Jim :) I will look into those as well! But don't think I will be buying any more tools other than the dremel - I think dremel I can justify as will use it more (like fitting Daves16v s short shift ;)) But am worried now if I will break my dremel too :( Which dremel did u break?
  8. Certainly worth a go! But I like to do things thorough and take things apart! I did it on my Honda Prelude - but do NOT want to do it again! Not on the same car anyway! Balancing the rear bumper on my thighs whilst trying to slot into the bolts holes and bolt on is NO FUN - especially when it scrapes the wing paintwork as well! :shocked!:
  9. Oh I do not have an DA or electric polisher etc - and prefer not to. I will buy a Dremel 4200 + accessories: £120
  10. Hi Like to tackle some of mine superficial issues: 1. Surface rust on white paintwork (including stone chips to metal) 2. Rust to bare metal on wheel arches and bottom of doors 3. Crusty rust on some areas like battery tray, under rear spoiler, windscreen edges etc 4. Might as well add removal of rear CORRADO badge and fill-in holes I am thinking the following: 1. Surface rust on - just 800 sandpaper and topcoat/lacquer? 2. Rust to metal - Dremel + 400 sandpaper + epoxy primer (NOT etch primer?) + 600 sand + primer + 800 sand + top coat/lacquer 3. Battery tray - Wire brush + Bilt Hamber Deox (derust) + method spirit + etch primer? 4. Below wiper arms / scuttle panel - wire brush + BH Deox + Rustbuster epoxy mastic (rustproof/prime/topcoat all in one!) Or rustbullet.UK.com 5. Corrado badge holes - dremel + 2 part filler + prime/top/lacquer 6. Front lights - these glass aren't they? - just 800 sandpaper and then technique C2? - or better to buy headlight refurb kit? 7. Might as well add: - since not fitting my 288mm caliper - and Vag-Hag shown me how the calipers work... - soak in BH Detox C overnight - buy a caliper return kit and return? - then paint with hammerite? I have done a lot of research on this. Probably not enough! Still confused what to use, order of steps, and which combo to use!!?? Some say NOT to use etch primer! Some say BH Dynax S50 is excellent rust converter and can paint on top! But if u add a water based primer to Dynax then it will rust! This is my 1st ever attempt at bodywork....wish me luck! :shocked!:
  11. Totally agree! I think did mine within 30mins...but at the end did struggle and got my son to sit inside to bend the trims more...
  12. No worries, bud 8) I removed mine and find the following to add: That link very very good step by step removal of headliner. But, Be warn that its very very tight to pull out headliner. So, I recommend : 1. Remove as much trim as possible (or at lease loosen up)!!! 2. Prepare to get the inside covered in debris/old foam 3. Prepare to warp (of even crease/snap sponge headliner) 4. U need TWO people when pulling out the headliner (one to pull the other to keep bending the trims!) 5. Headliner needs new foam strips to replace on the topside (either they old or ripped out when sliding out ) 6. Think about HOW to slot headliner back in :shocked!: But, this is just my experience
  13. Can I just check... Do I need to remove front / back bumpers AND wheel arches to get to the 4 drain outlets?
  14. Yup! But thanks - so maybe no need to replace sunroof seal then! But, it did SOAKED the interior when I used a hose pipe to rinse car - so will need to look at the drains at some point ...
  15. Cool! :thumb right: I tell garage to do it then! :D As car is back to garage next Wed to secure the lose radiator! ;) But as the C will be in the garage (whilst I go to Bristol in my Honda), After my return from Bristol, I ll stick me head under the now dried C (heavy rain+rain these few days :() and give it a go myself! :) But not doing that UNDER a scissor jack though!
  16. Cheers Chris :D U know after what we been thru on Sun 15th - we can only laugh  Yeah Seem to have problems each time :( Its true again - if not broke DO NOT fix or change! As more problems may arisen like mine! Horn did work before. As i always test the horn - AND front/rear fogs worked too when i first tested them! I not going to cry - been there or here now many many times before :bonk::bonk::bonk: I can ONLY laugh
  17. Ok I can hear rain water dripping inside the sunroof into the drain channels? And this is WITH electrical tape on the outside of the sunroof seals (only the back though) I can see (now headliner removed), The whole sunroof seal is SOAKED :shocked!: So its true The sunroof seal does NOT prevent water getting in
  18. Mines NOT illuminated on side NOR main lights!
  19. Sat outside in rain waiting for son at Air Cadets... Raining cats n dogs, Parked outside terrace houses, Car in front, Thought i test my lights out ... Dip lights - :thumb right: Main - :thumb right: High beam: Ok, passenger bulb gone :( Ok - can u see the light switch illuminated here? Nor can i :( Is it supposed to be illuminated? Hazards - :thumb right: Indicators - :thumb right: Fogs...BEEEEEEEEEEP! Fogs? ...BEEEEEEEEEEEP! :shocked!: Homeowner comes out of terraced house to see who beeped! My Front Fog switch is my HORN?!!!:shocked!: Wtf???
  20. Update D-Day (gone!) Test STALLING: Safe to say fixed for now? :thumb right:  SPECIAL THANKS to Sanky for the fix! :) D-Day was Sat gone to decide if drive to Bristol over Easter hols. Safe to say NO :( With no bolt for door handle dangling like a monkey - I take the Honda (again!) Dont know if its me (or not noticed before), But car does sound ROUGHER / CRUDER in setting off in 1st / 2nd :( Is it a sigh for something dramatic to come? :shocked!:
