  1. i dont know why,but i thought all you had to do before fitting was to, compress the piston once fully, just to lube the piston and create a seal? neil.

    potentiometer g60

  haha! seriously though,£800?
  5. yep, check connections on both sides,as i think? one light feeds the other like on mk1/mk2 golfs? neil. :)
  6. sounds like air in the system to me. i always have the car running without expansion cap on. while squeezing the bottom hose, you should see any air bubble up into the expansion tank.(carefull of any moving parts!) edit:leave it ticking over for a while to get upto temp, keep an eye on the gauge, then after leaving it for a while(turned off) slowly and carefully remove the cap and let the level settle, then top up as required. also the temp switch for the fan will not read properly if its sat in air rather than water. neil. :)
  7. cheers,khurrado daves16v 8) go for it,looks wicked and pi$$ easy! :D neil.

  10. cheers guys, appreciate it. im not enjoying driving it at the moment as the exhaust is blowing somewhere :x ,think its the manifold or downpipe? any good replacements? i am impressed about one thing though, its the first vw ive owned that dosnt use a drop of oil! :? will hopefully be black in the future, not keen on the grey although it is pretty tidy. neil.

  13. i was gonna organise a group buy on these but never got round to it  theres a section on the site that gives rough pricing for buys of 10/20/30 i think. they are a smart, tidy option 8) neil.
  14. oh yes, very nice! 8) i had! decided on the borbets but? the brocks look pretty aggressive! neil.
  15. hi m8, i run 8x16 all round, and i too have 20mm front and 25mm rear. 195/45's all round. i think? if you go for 25mm on the front then your tyres can catch the wheel arches if running it pretty low although im not certain... i prefer the wider at the back look to be honest anyway. neil. :)
  16. jesus m8,sounds like you got really messed about! and the scratch! i set my camber with an old spirit level gauge type thing  ,and its mint! neil.
