anyone? :( i now know i should have roughly 500ohms between pins 1 and 3 on the co pot. 1/with me not running a cat,do i still need to use the c/o machine on the pipe from the manifold,or can i stick it up the tailpipe? 2/what should the ignition timing be set at at what rpm? 3/what should the c/o level be set at on a gas anyliser? and this is done by adjusting the sensor in the air pipe? 4/what should the tickover be at? what order do i do it all in? cheers, neil.

i may be wrong here m8(someone correct me if i am!) the mixture is adjusted by an allen key that you put in a tube next to the metering head? anywhere between 1% and 2% on the co machine is fine. neil. -
bump, will be doing this tommorow so would appreciate any advice :!: thanks, neil.

ok a bit more searching, and it looks like the co pot is the thing my mate adjusted in the boost pipe between t body and intercooler? so you dont use an exhaust gas anlyser? :? my co on the anilyser was reading 0.5? neil.

thanks m8,but i dont have a clue what you mean about the co pot? 500 ohms? pins? that rings a bell with me too! is it once the bts is reconnected or? :? the mk1 on 45's was much more simple  neil.

i replaced the fuel feed pipe that runs from the filter to the engine bay. the old one looked okay so im baffled as to where the fuel patch was appearing from :? neil.

hi guys, i just replaced the fuel feed pipe right from the filter to the engine bay and now id like to set up the ignition timing and c/o again. 1/with me not running a cat,do i still need to use the c/o machine on the pipe from the manifold,or can i stick it up the tailpipe? 2/what should the ignition timing be set at at what rpm? 3/what should the c/o level be set at? and this is done by adjusting the sensor in the air pipe? 4/what should the tickover be at? what order do i do it all in? not sure my mate knows 100% what hes doing,he did disconnect bts, adjusted air flow thing untill c/o read .5ish (about 4 full turns !! and was fluctuating) and then adjusted tickover with the air screw on the throttle body. cheers, neil.

thanks guys, im pretty sure its not running down from the engine bay as the floor is dry a good distance from the front of the car. ill take your advice on the rubber bay pipes though i think, especially after the g60 on fire episode! are they available from vw,or will any correct pressure pipe do the job? also could someone just confirm the set up? is the main feed plastic then rubber then metal then rubber again? :? cheers, neil. :) -

hi m8. it was just a while ago that i put a new seal on the fpr. i was wondering what was involved in replacing them, looks like fun to get them threaded through the chassis! is it just a case of pulling them out then? i priced a new pipe up at vw,£18.16 which i thought was ok.(well for vw anyway!) also am i right in thinking theres 1 feed from filter,1 return, and 1 breather? thing is i would need to know which it is as i cant leave it at my mates garage :( cheers, neil. -
help! ok guys, lately my g60 has been farting every now and again as i apply the throttle. in fact it nearly got me killed at a roundabout today! anyway, got it on a mates ramp and he guessed that it sounded like it was fuel related. checking at the rear for fuel leaks but found nothing, and then working to the front of the car following the 3 fuel lines, its wet where they dissapear into the chassis! as you go towards the bulk head it drys up,so its not something leaking down from up top. what the hell? is this a common thing? neil. :(

i used a bit that had emory paper wrapped round it,it was good for removing the main bulk and then i used strips of emory paper to shape it. then got finer and finer with the sand paper/wet n dry,and then autosol 8) neil.
