  1. again id like to thank dave for supplying this. works a treat and is easy to fit following the instructions which are provided. this is really to say thanks to dave,and to let everyone know that the early type handles (no raised part round key hole) can now be repaired with one of daves kits. top stuff 8) cheers,neil.

  5. aye,im not into turbo's anyway,on/off power and all this lag business :lol: for some strange(and expensive) reason,im liking the idea of bigger pistons,can anyone shed any light? ill check out the mk1 too 8) cheers,neil.
  6. phil,good to hear m8! yep,the design 90's are 8x16 all round with 195/45's. would have liked 9x16's but these came up at decent money,so i had to have em. 8) oh yeah,i retinted the headlights,painting the line between the lights this time.makes a big difference to the look. 8) neil.
  7. haha so true,lol at tensing on the wheel and kangarooing away! :lol: reminds me,i was sat at a 2 lane roundabout on sunday. me in left lane,2 cops in a car on the right and a car behind each of us. the cop was edging out slowly,as a white van came booting round the big roundabout, the cop stuck it in reverse and backed straight into the guy behind in a lexus is200. :lol: neil.

  9. suppose more cc's wouldnt do any harm to start with,1.9? 2.0? can you go 1900cc with just a rebore? and obviously bigger pistons,what size? neil.

  11. hahaha :lol: good suggestions guys! when i say top of third gear,thats when we both backed off at a roundabout with traffic queing. was quite suprised that i stuck with him really,an impreza type sommet or other went past me pretty easily the other week. :roll: and theyre just shat! would definately have a lancer rather than a scoob though,evo 4 or 5 :oops:
  12. just had a do with a m8 who has a 4wd sierra cosworth,supposed to be 280 bhp @ the fly. stuck right with him to the top of 3rd gear. :D but obviously that aint good enough,so what do i need to blitz him rather than just stick with him? :lol: neil.

  20. nope,you shouldnt need to put spring clamps on the fk's. if need be,just wind the spring platforms right down so the spring isnt under any tension. neil. :)
  21. update on my t-body. :) after messing with the half that houses the spindles,i saw that i wouldnt be able to fit it as some bits of the linkage are broken :roll: so i thought id really bring up the other half,i finished off the venturi bit,and got it ported a little more then polished the hell out of it. :D i fitted just this half today and there is a 'real' difference,throttle response is more snappy and it drives better at low rpm(smoother) neil. 8)
  22. i have a similar problem i think? only sometimes,when i apply little throttle to set off,it sort of farts :? and dosnt rev. also pops out of exhaust letting off,but is that due to the decat? neil.
  23. to be honest i dont know myself m8. i think i managed to overtighten mine,and the 2 metal spacer things(that sit either side of rubber) have been banging each other and got chewed up :roll: im tryna source some new ones as the original vw ones dont fit over the fk's. neil.
  24. is there a bit at the top of the strut to get a smallish spanner on? while the 17mm is tightened? not the damping adjustment bit! neil.
