  1. brock b2's for me please,in a 9x16 all round stylee,or maybe 8's up front if they do em? 8) neil.
  2. well today i managed to change the plugs/cap and rotor arm/oil filter/oil/air filter/fuel filter and well it shifts like i think it should! i dunno what could be diffarent,the old plugs were a little black,maybe the original fuel filter wasnt helping? filled it with optimax and its flaming/popping/banging and shifting like a gud un :D also tried the mfa/boost check again and managed the number 2000 in 3rd gear,is this around 14 psi? only problem is on tickover it fluctuates between 500-600,what should it be? thanks,neil. :D :D

  4. mine bangs/pops out the exhaust when changing up 8) mk1 used to toast the unlucky motorist behind before i had it set up :lol: neil.

  6. got my new black side repeaters and new g60 grill badge which dosnt fit properly! :mad: anyone got a new one? :-P fitted the german flag type badges too,what you guys reckon? neil. :D
  7. ok cheers m8,ill try the oil first as a hopefull cheap fix,then ill probably renew the mounts... mmmm,seem to be wanting to renew a few things all of a sudden. :? oh aye,i priced an oil filter up at my local gsf £15. from the dealer,£6.99 :? what the hell? neil.
  8. cheers for your input m8. :D mmmm,i dunno? in the cab i know the second synch is dead,when its cold and you change into second from any other gear even at low revs it really crunches. it seems diffarent in the c though,its only when winding it up in 1st and going into second trying to pull out the lever :lol: down shifting from 3rd at highish rpm dosnt make it crunch? not sommet i normally do mind,ive got a habit of double de clutching in normal everyday driving,found toe n heeling difficult at first in the c but ive got used to the pedals now. 8) cheers guys,ill stop rambling on now! neil.

  10. ahh! funny you say that m8! there does seem to be a lot of 'engine trying to leave the bay' type moves going on. :lol: how much are all new mounts,i reckon ill go for the new gear oil and mounts. cheers guys,neil. 8)

    hummmm :? is the mark on the camshaft pulley on the inside or outside,or have you not had it off so to speak? neil. goin for tea now,ill be thinking on it...

  15. update: took plastic out of airbox,and bodged a temp boost return mod. put the plastic back in the air box as it sounded too drony for me :oops: found oil in the charger inlet/outlet too :( ordered a boost return kit to keep me happy for now. 8) oh,got some badges too,maybe going above the side repeaters,or the (still to be fitted) plain black mudflaps?

    gonna let it sit there for a bit...still not decided :?: i thought frome was in france or sommet! the gear lever surround just lifts up m8. :thumbleft: neil.

    alright m8 :D its worth just lifting up the gear lever trim,check if the circlip has come off the shaft,you should be able to tell if you watch while going into reverse/1st. neil.
  20. if i remember right,its the blue/white wire? that you shouldnt connect to anything. and the black wire is for the amplified aerial,i think! :?: neil.

  22. aye suppose its pointless really,thanks for all the help. 8) ill get it all serviced and then maybe strip/look at/send the charger away or have someone look at the car as a whole. neil. :thumb right:
  23. ahh nice one,i was thinking about belts... does the charger belt run the alternator and water pump too? neil.
  24. ok this may be a stupid question but what the hell? is it possible to somehow run the c without the charger? please bear in mind im still learning about these things! cheers! :D
