hi guys. received my kit off g-man,thanks m8  just wondering if ive done it correctly? i got a bit of pipe with the kit but didnt really know what to do with it  i fitted the filter to the isv, correct? fitted the blanking plate to the charger. and also fitted a spare filter i had on the rocker breather. just wondering if this is ok really? and where does the whoosh noise come from? the t/b or the isv or both!? one last thing, what is the isv reroute ive heard about? also found a pipe p1ssing fuel out! so fitted new pipe with new jubilees! see pics, cheers, neil. :D

sh1tter m8! you wanna see the roads round here, theyre made from potholes! a m8 recently claimed, and got paid out with no questions asked, the pothole then had a bit of sh1t thrown over it,and its now back to how it was! unbelievable! good luck m8,get pics if you can too! neil.

sorry to hear this, keep ya chin up m8,and my condolences go out to the family/friends. i do actually know how you feel. :( neil.

all i wanna do is pm g-man about a long awaited boost return kit and i cant do it!? :?
-
Naa - handles really well, Eagle F1 tyres may have something to do with that though - great grip. VW recommended pressure for G60's is 2.6-2.8bar front & 2.3-2.5bar rear.... fair do's steve 8) what are the above figures in psi? neil.
-
mmm, does sound like road/tyre noise then probably. the mega stiff avo's on the mk1 didnt cause any more noise, just crashy as hell! neil.
-
just thought id throw this link in here. 8) plenty good tyre sizing info, with a few good size/speedo calculaters. i used to have the mk1 going round corners like it was rwd/4 wheel drive  8x14 195/45/14's on front with 28 psi. 9x14 255/35/14's on rear with 32 psi. with rear stripped out! muchos 4 wheel drifting in the wet! and dry! on the c i use 195/45/16,slight stretch,30psi and its crap! im seriously going off stretched tyres  steve,is the g60 not a bit light on the front end in the wet? neil.
-
sounds like youve not got a knackered left hand side wheel bearing m8? or maybe a noisy cv joint,is there any clicking when turning tight, slow corners? neil. :)
-
id go with that m8,on a 9a bottom end? neil.
-
oh aye,kr uses an inlet cam with more lift. :) neil.
-
not a lot. :) the 2.0 head just has a little more metal to either remove or shape diffarently. neil.
-
my dads 1990 valver has leccy everything but no sunroof. neil. :)
-
heh he wasnt me was it m8?
-
JBOB, yep you got it m8. :thumbleft: your c has a later bonnet fitted. neil.
-
the ecu just needs one ignition/switched live. is there a spark from the coil lead? if there is then maybe its the hall sender or rotor arm,or maybe a bad earth. neil.
-
hi m8,cant say for sure but its possibly just a difference in the diameter of the pipe? and maybe one diffarent hanger if i remember right. neil. :)
-
nope, still waiting for em. would have liked em for elsecar too. ps:heres the phone no. for rimstyle-08700 278 434. neil.
-
yep,the 9a inlet cam has a crap profile for the cat/emmisions,you can loose the cat if the car is a 92(j plate) or older and have no probs with mot. 8) with your mpg and sticky revs problems,id get it on a rolling road m8. give it a service first too, especially plugs and fuel filter, and the obvious oil etc... it could drive totally diffarent just from a good setting up. neil.
-
renault 11? :? plenty cars came with propper  fog lights as standard. some nice ones too! but cheers,at least from the front it dosnt just look like any other black g60 now. thanks banana man,i was wondering what a debadged grill would look like. neil.
-
yeah good point TomB, a rolling road session with someone who knows what they are doing could give you more power and drivability. just by checking things over and fettling the timing, and running optimax of course! 8) neil.
-
mmmm, not bad,not bad 8) maybe a bit too ott? i think it looks pretty mean though? neil.
-
depending what year it is? you could go for a decat pipe if it hasnt got one already? and then theres the kr inlet cam, wur(warm up regulater) mod, this has to be done on a rolling road. drilling the air box on the wing side,or having a cold feed with a panel filter. all pretty cheap options, its the inlet cam and cat which kill the 9a :( could go for some mildish cams rather than just swap the inlet for a kr one? neil. :)
-
welcome m8 :thumbleft: very nice vr6 you have there! i keep seeing an early black mk2 gti round my way, with the same stickers on the doors. looks good, neil. :D
-
how the hell do you guys do that? 8) the dark lights look good! anyways, there was me thinking i found the next big thing  neil.
