-
cant remember which month mag it was but this may help m8. :D arch rolling jack type thing! neil.

i hate the gritters! i swerve to avoid them, they do actually chip ya paint! and whats the point in throwing grit next to the curb??? or all over ya car when its parked up??? i had to run and stand in front of the rh cups on the cab earlier,i took the brunt of it
-
OK, we know your cars, where did your names come from???

i was named after neil diamond :( riley being my surname. -
the mk1 would have totally blitzed the c to be honest, but it was totally diffarent to drive, with the very stiff avo coilovers, wide wheels etc... i gave my sportline cab a run today and oh my god is it hard to drive!! just getting used to this refinedness i suppose
-
thanks m8 :D are they bbs rc's on yours? neil.
-
wow,i presumed all c's had the adjustable column :? my dad has a g plate valver, non sunroof, all electrics, and adjustable column. neil.

I have a friend with a Renault 5 Turbo and I've watched him modifying it over the last few years. Each step he takes makes it a little bit worse to drive, and for very small gains in power it seems. ...when VRs are so cheap now. The only engine swap that would interest me is a TDi conversion! but with a 2.0 swap theres no real modifications, its just a standard lump, with the kr inlet cam just to bring the peak power up,and the wur mod to stop the mixture leaning out up top... this set up will tick over perfectly and will drive like a standard motor because it is really. and i think a well set up 2.0 16v will give a vr a run for its money all day :-P i do like the tdi's ma self but the non revviness does my head in :?

fitted the momo wheel from the cab today. feels a lot better now :D ps:could any p/shoppers drop it in this pic? please  it really does need it!
-
seriously m8? i reckon bolting it to the garage wall gives a more positive feel!
-
cool wheel m8 8) the millenium evo?
-
may have been asked before but im just curious. it took me a while to find the best driving position in the c,theres so many adjustments on the seats and wot not! now its right though, its right 8) . i have the wheel 1 up from the bottom,no one uses the top bus stylee position do they? neil.
-
yep, just the kr inlet cam. :thumb right: a good rolling road set up,and having the warm up regulater tweeked, should see decent figures and give good drivability. :D
-
8) m8... i rate the millenium 10/10,feels good, quality, looks good enough. just the price that initially hurts a bit  i had an omp targa in the mk1,about £100 with the boss i think, but seemed to wear quickly and dosnt feel half as contoured! 8) and grippy as the momo does. neil.
-
vote for the new ones here. :) up ta you at thend a day m8 (what?) nah good to get opinion though...
-
You mean drop in 2.0 block? Hopefully gunna be my summer project, build it in the garage and then swap em over! Whats the most BHP ect can hope for, with cams ect? yep... :D 9a engine codes in the corrado 91 - 95. 9a engine code in the passat gt 88 - 93,some are kr code 1800cc though. abf engine code from any 2.0 16v mk 3 golf gti. theres others too,but a little more work. if you run standard kr cams in a 9a,if its in good order with few in-expensive tweeks, then you can seriously expect around 175 @ the fly. ive seen someone at a little over 180! neil. 8)
-
cheers m8 8) should look more at home once i can be arsed to swap interiors over... thats why i just bought black mats to replace the grey ones, looks silly at the mo  neil.
-
yeah id have thought so... :? neil.
-
yep,as far as im aware m8 :D and then if you have problems, you can always have them machined down,or flare/pull your arches... neil.
-
im new to corrado's,is the supposed vw reliability not as prominent with these fantastic motors? :?: gotta agree about the first bit! and gotta agree about the 2nd  have you not thought about the 9a/abf 2.0 route? a pretty good way to get around 180 reliable horses with good torque figures... if id have ended up with a valver,id have loved to drop in an abf,and bolt on some throttle bodies 8) you raggy git  im waiting for a good time to swap one over. neil.
-
yep  i think the shaft size changed around 1988? on the cabs? smaller mk1 style before this... neil.
