@Dragon, Good work mate!:thumbleft:

I've just converted to Mk4 rears and I wrote a super comprehensive picture/part number and fitment guide on Volksdevil. http://www.volksdevil.com/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=1721 The calipers will bolt straight up to your carriers:thumbleft: Very straight forward to do and worthwhile if you can go for it.

May help...http://www.volksdevil.com/wheeloffset.php

Not much managed today, just went around torquing up bolts etc. Fitted the new Greenstuff front pads and bled all the brakes. Clutch is super light now! I wanted to go for the pagid fast road pads again as I found them to be really good, but no longer made unfortunately!

Wow mate, that's a hell of a thing to say! :notworthy: Much appreciated but it's nothing special really, I'ts no show car or anything but it does get used! I just do my best with it and try and do what I want to do myself.:thumb right: I've just (Nearly finsihed) fitting the Mk4 golf calipers on the rear. I went for: New ABS sensor New Handbrake cables. New Corrado Carriers. New Mk4 Golf calipers. New brake pads. New greenstuff front pads for the hell of it. Banjo bolts. Conversion stainless braided hoses with clear covers from on here. And some Halfords red brake caliper paint lol. Thought I'd try something different to the hammerite I've always used before. I've done a massive/comprehensive guide on Volksdevil here too. :thumbleft: New Carriers, Calipers, Handbrake cables. Halfords brake caliper paint, cleaner/degreaser etc. New carrier bolts, banjo bolts etc. Conversion hoses, from on here, very nice. Masked up all the bits where the pads will sit on the carriers (Then copper greased the masked areas), masked bits on actual calipers. Then painted and all fitted up. The finish on the carriers was a bit rough cast unfortunately, hence a crap finish, but they will do. And a pic fitted up from the guide I've done.

Looking good Will!:thumbleft: How mine's currently sitting, needs mot/tax and finishing off a bit before it's back on the road!

Lol, coming soon. Have been waiting for more parts for the rear brake conversion but today I painted the new carriers and mk4 golf calipers. Pics/update soon. EDIT: Oh and tonight I've just finished my spreadsheet of total costings on the Corrado over the past 7/8 years of ownership. Have added all receipts I've got and the total... £21,382.70!!! Seriously! :bonk:That's without buying the bloody thing!

Received the lines thanks mate. Look spot on.

I think this place does alright meself. In fact I'd say here along with cgti and of course Volksdevil are the best Vw forums around. One thing that bugs me is when people moan about repeated posts, even though questions may have been answered in the past, some of the info such as part numbers or general ways of doing things may have changed, so it's good to start new/fresh topics. On top of that, it's posts that actually keep a forum buzzing whether they are repeated or not...New members will get more involved as they learn and try to help others, so they will tend to answer the age old common questions which is a good thing. Like I say, keeps the place buzzing and helps others learn. I think facebook has a lot to answer for as well, these days a lot tend to post random car pictures on there rather than have a progress thread on a forum which for me is so much better!

Everything I was thinking looking at it lol! Could possibly make a good car for somebody with a little time and effort. Obviously things need checked out physically first though!
-
Haha I do keep getting asked about them, but I'll probably keep them as a half decent second set once the A's are sorted. Have hit a small hurdle with the car (Knackered rear caliper carrier) so I'm going for all new rear brakes consisting of new corrado carriers/bolts/handbrake cables etc and new mk4 calipers. Will update soon and do a write up/guide on the conversion, there will be too many pics as always:thumbleft:

I've had these from the dealers before, whether or not you can still get them or not these days I don't know. But just in case: # 037 133 432 Neil.

Here you go Aid > http://www.the-corrado.net/showthread.php?10426-Door-handle-repair-kit-THEY-ARE-NOW-AVAILABLE&highlight=door+handle+repair+kit Neil.

Ahh yep. That picture rings a bell! Just remind me of the difference, isn't it that the bottom setup showing auto/ cars? Just trying to jog my own memory a little more. I think (IIRC) I was going with the top picture when I was looking into it, and was going to modify the pedal to accept the push/pull jobby's. If I can get my old pc working with etka installed I'll have a look and try and remember what I was planning...See if it can help.
-
Isn't the original throttle cable retained? And the vac actuator sits on the throttle body connected to a second ball joint? The vac then has tubing running to the push/pull rods which are attached to the pedal? Sorry if I've misunderstood. I've actually got some cruise control bits knocking about somewhere as I looked into fitting it some years ago myself.

Aye, I thought he did, but not anymore he says, not at a decent price anyway, so I figure they must be expensive. He actually suggested ebay but I'm not sure which ones.
-
Thanks for the suggestion, may give them a call tomorrow unless I can find something beforehand. Would these do for example? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/230808190559?_trksid=p5197.c0.m619

Can anyone suggest a place to buy these banjo bolts asap online? I believe they are M12X1mm Pitch and 24/25mm long. There are some on ebay but I'm not sure they are the same design? Seem not to have a recess around the hole in the bolt etc. Just want to be sure I can get the right ones. Neil.

Spot on thanks mate, for that price may as well pick a pair up. :-) ---------- Sent from iPhone 4S via Tapatalk while on the crapper

As title for a 92 late style G60. Also, if anyone can supply the stupid Allen bolts (new). Neil. ---------- Sent from iPhone 4S via Tapatalk while on the crapper

Hi mate, are you still doing the hoses? If so I'd like a price for the following please. G60 Corrado to MK4 rear caliper conversion hoses in stainless with clear covers. And I noticed earlier in the thread that you can supply the banjo bolts? Is this still the case as I haven't found calipers as yet so they could be handy. Lastly, are the fittings/ends stainless? Thanks, Neil.

Good stuff. How are you liking the Yellow headlight beam? I love it myself, the way it lights road signs at night etc. What plans have you got for it?
-
Thanks mate! Glad to be an inspiration!:thumbleft: I used to get a lot of comments like this with the mk1 so to get them for the Corrado is brill, thanks. I just do what I can really. Ideally I want to get my Borbet A's back on (Wish I'd never sold my design 90's too actually) and also the Yellow headlights will make a comeback. This week I'm going to look at fitting a new abs sensor on the rear, finish off the air ride (Boot install etc) and get it back on the road after an MOT pass hopefully!:thumbleft:

Love it:thumbleft: I think I may have sold those Porsche gauges to the previous owner, nice to see they are still there if they are the same ones.

A guide I did a couple years back (With pics), pretty self explanatory really though as mentioned above.:thumbleft: http://www.volksdevil.com/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=48
