Great progress. Keep up the good work. :thumbleft:

Aye, does seem a bit steep! I think I have to hold my hand up and say I got the relays confused, thinking you mentioned that the fuel pump relay was a tenner (Five quid from heritage) when in fact as you said it's the ecu relay that's double the price. Oh well, I've gone and ordered it now, it's probably worth a tenner not to have to deal with the dealers to be honest. They used to be really helpful in there but it's all changed now...
-
Whoops! Not sure what I've done there and I'm now confused as to whether or not I've ordered the right things. Confusing as they are both sort of listed as fuel pump relays! Is this the right ECU Relay??? 165-906-381 £20.95. http://www.vwheritage.com/vw_spares_Relay-G60-fuel-pump-T4-AAC-Elec-Control-Unit_act_shop.product_pID_16378561_lang_EN_country_GB.htm And the right Fuel pump relay??? 191-906-383/C£5.48. http://www.vwheritage.com/vw_spares_Fuel-pump-relay-8v-3-87-10-91-16v-2-86-10-91-T4_act_shop.product_pID_47024273_lang_EN_country_GB.htm

That helps a lot, if it feels like roughly half the distance then that sounds ideal. Thanks mate. :thumbleft: Will be in touch Daves 16v, just need to sort out a time when I can have a play with the car. Neil.
-
Spot on, thanks for that :thumbleft: Ok so... Ecu - Number 30 - 165 906 381 And... Fuel Pump - Number 167 -Part number (I think) 191 906 383c? Cheers lads. EDIT: Yep seems above number for fuel pump relay is correct. Just ordered them both from VwHeritage. http://www.vwheritage.com/vw_spares_Relay-G60-fuel-pump-T4-AAC-Elec-Control-Unit_act_shop.product_pID_16378561_lang_EN_country_GB.htm http://www.vwheritage.com/vw_spares_Fuel-pump-relay-8v-3-87-10-91-16v-2-86-10-91-T4_act_shop.product_pID_47024273_lang_EN_country_GB.htm

Sorry Dave, I must have got confused. Is it a 20mm reduction all round then? IE: Forward/back and side to side? I'm interested but I'm wondering if more than 20mm would be a good bet for me, especially forward/back. It just shows how we get used to things I guess lol.
-
Looks good. What sort of forward/back reduction does this give guys? Any rough figures in mm? I had been driving an RX8 for a while with the Corrado off the road, and when I got back in it, I actually thought something had broken, the throw of the Corrado lever felt that long! lol! RX8 is a pretty short shift though it has to be said. What's the corrado throw? Around 6" at the knob 1st to 2nd?

Good stuff, you don't have the part number and relay number handy at all? Cheers, Neil.

Pictures of door triangles with tweeters in them?
Riley replied to Portent's topic in ICE 'n' Secure
As above I have some JBL 4" in there (dash) with crossovers. Those tweeters on the door triangles look pretty good though location wise. -
Cheers lads, so it seems that relay 30 may well be the latest for the ECU. Relay 167 the latest for the fuel pump? I'd go to the dealers but ever since the parts dept changed they don't have the time of day for anyone wanting 'old bits for old cars' while stood in the show room...Even though they don't have a dedicated parts area now. Where can we get these brand new? Dealers or?
-
Cheers mate, just that I want to try and get new/latest ones if I can. I know that relay 30 is newer than 32, but is there an even newer/updated one?
-
Just to jump in on this after doing a search and ending up here (Proud of myself? lol) I'm just looking at the Fuel pump and ECU relays and wanted to make sure I'm up to date with the part numbers and relay numbers. 1/ Fuel Pump - I think this is still a 167? - But what's the part number? 191 906 383c? 2/ Ecu - Is this still a number 30? - Part number anyone? Cheers, Neil.

Fog light and column surround arrived safe and sound, thanks Chris. Neil. -
Hi Lance, echoing the above comments, I only spoke to your Dad very briefly, you both always came across as really helpful and enthusiastic. Really sorry. I have just paid £32 for 2x Red Rear Supercharged Badges to match the original size.:thumbleft: Neil.

The original G60 ones are now ok to use rather than the mk1 gti bolt.:thumbleft:

The CF Update: New design, new classifieds & more to come!
Riley replied to Andi's topic in Site Comments and Questions
Have to agree with the above. I'm having to use the "quick links > Todays threads" way to find topics a lot of the time. But the problem is that the "quick links" menu doesn't always show! -
Great to hear from you Lance! I used to have a chat with you now and again when I used to do the shows with a mate of mine (Shane/White mk1 cab in Burnley if you remember) Going back a few years lol. If the red 200mm ones are same size as the original rear Corrado ones I'll take one please. Paypal? Neil.

Welcome. I'd say most who modify (Inc myself) tend to run 68mm pulley's, it's the most common size and is a quick/decent little upgrade along with relevant chip. My charger is a full blend from Pitstop developments (No longer trading) and I tend to hit 14/15psi on the boost gauge. (PG G60 Engine with no head work) As for the G65/G70...Not really worth it if you are getting high boost readings and/or with standard basic engine imo. The boost reading is just a measure of restriction. The money would be much better spent on head work to actually bring the boost reading/figure down and make use of the boost that's already there. Obviously with more boost you can change the power band etc, but anything over 15psi and ideally you need different management. The Corrado ecu's map sensor only reads up to 1bar and some Rallye G60 ecu's got 1.5bar map sensors. Most ISV's tend to blow off (lol) at around 0.8/1.0bar too. Make use of the boost I say:thumbleft: I've never used a standalone oil supply for the charger, There's good reason for it to be added though (Constant pressure and temp rather than up/down from the cylinder head) but regular oil/filter changes are fine on the standard setup for most. Neil.

^^ Definitely. When the needle jumps up it means that there's a break somewhere.
-
Worth a try...They won't fire up with it disconnected for example afaik. You could try swapping the plugs over on the blue and black senders, but ideally a new one for the sake of a few quid.
-
Aye, I wondered that, the guy said he had blue and black, told him I had a Corrado and I received the black ones. They do fit, just very tight in the rear panel. Badge fits fine though. ---------- Sent from iPhone 4S using Tapatalk
