  1. Thank god all still seems well this morning!
  2. Bugger...I did wonder with it being a 91. Oh well, the search goes on! Thanks anyway mate.
  3. Cheers lads. I just wanted reassuring really, and hopefully everything seems ok. I've done all the inbuilt Vaio checks, all ok. And I've done a disk check, all ok there too. Seems to be running fine so far, just worrying! I've never really used the event viewer before so unsure what to do with it, but here are a couple running task screen shots, anything untoward? Carb advice

If carbs are in good order, there's no fettling needed. I ran new 45 webers on my 16v mk1 and after initial setting up it started on the button and ticked over perfectly every single day until it got stripped... Wish I could find time to get it back on the road :-( There should be an old vid on YouTube, mk1 golf 16v 45 webers. Ps: It was rolling roaded at 174 brake horse :-D ---------- Sent from iPhone 4S via Tapatalk while on the crapper
  6. Aye, I have a paid mcafee total protection and nothing has shown up. Just trying to remember if the pc came with a disk or not, I don't think it did because it seems to back up onto my external HD. When I have a look, there's an icon 'Neil-vaio' which when I right click, it gives the option to 'Restore, from this backup. Will that be the OS? ---------- Sent from iPhone 4S via Tapatalk while on the crapper ---------- Post added at 5:24 PM ---------- Previous post was at 4:57 PM ---------- Is that known as the system image? Maybe restore from that? ---------- Sent from iPhone 4S via Tapatalk while on the crapper
  7. Pics added above. How about a scandisk/disk check? Worried that things have become corrupted/broken even though it does seem to be working. ---------- Sent from iPhone 4S via Tapatalk while on the crapper

  9. I'll keep this as short and sweet as I can...While the PC is working! Sony all in one pc with windows 7 and google chrome/IE9. A couple weeks ago I noticed that when browsing websites in IE9, any standard drop down menu's had become very spaced out (Space above and under the text within the select boxes) I thought it strange and presumed it was an IE9 update or something. It wasn't anything to do with the screen zoom (Set at 100%) Anyway I left it alone, but yesterday Google chrome did the same thing. Wrongly (I now know) I thought something must have gone wrong with the PC. So i tried a system restore, I went back a few days. Started up all fine, and the drop down boxes on any website were back to normal. All good. Until google chrome updated and it started again...So It then clicked that it was just browser updates that were causing it rather than a problem with the PC. So I then thought well, I may as well UNDO the system restore. This is where things went wrong...It went through it all, but at the end said there was one error and it couldn't complete. I clicked ok, and though fair enough, I'll leave it as it is. This morning the PC wouldn't start without going into a 'Start up repair' thing, looked like it was in safe mode too. It ran for like 5 hours! And at the end it said, startup repair could not repair the computer, click ok to restart your computer. I did just that, and it started up just fine. Not in safe mode or anything. I've shut it down a few times and all seems ok, but will it really be ok? Is there any way I can check things out? I need reassurance because I work on this thing for my job. Can anyone advise? I'm currently running vaio hardware diagnostics, cpu passed, memory passed, and currently checking the hard drive via a funnel seek test?
  10. First dibs on front bumper pending being a late one which is mint and definitely LO41? and location etc etc. Would appreciate some details/good pics if you could please mate. May also be interested in other bits. Neil.
  11. Weird. Never had an issue. I use both Google Chrome and IE9, although I only use IE9 when I absolutely have to, never visited this place on it. But I'll give it a try and see what happens. Windows 7 64bit. I have McAfee total protection so hopefully should be ok! EDIT: Lots of clicking around done on IE9 and nothing happened for me, not to say it's not still IE specific though. Not something to do with the viglink adverts is it?
  12. Although I have two terrors (Ayrton and Izzy) I only ever had one pram in the back (Long story) but always manage perfectly fine regards everything else. The only thing that bugged a bit was that it was hard work to find good seats/booster seats that fit the rear properly and safely.
  13. Ah...I once took one off to paint the door on my old Valver. I'm pretty sure it just pulled up from the handle end of the door, although I remember it was very easy to bend. Just easing it off as much as you can really from what I remember. Can see it removed in this pic. And refitted here (End was already wobbly before it was removed)
  14. Ah, perfect. I see what it does/how it works now. Sort of clamps two of them (With the 'pips') and a single bolt clamps them. Cheers mate:thumbleft:
  15. The 'Door dent stopper' Dave? lol. Or window seal? For the door trim rubber, heat gun and gentle prying. Obviously paint removal may occur!
  16. Bloody hell, everybody's telling me that lol. I'd love to get my A's back on but will have to wait till I get around to painting them or sommet. There is indeed still a discount code available Abdul, will PM you.
  17. I've got some stainless (70L) ones which I believe I picked up off Pete via ebay. Need to get them fitted actually, what's this clip you guys speak of?
  18. Cheers lads! Really can't wait to get it back on the road, just awaiting a door handle repair piece, then give the brakes a quick check over and off for MOT hopefully! Pulled it out again today after popping on the brand spanker center caps, forgot to put the 'Borbet' stickers on them though! I can't wait to get some proper pics of it all cleaned up again, rather than dark iphone pics but I just can't help meself lol. Boot build...
  19. Glad you found him Manny, I'm certain I found him on PVW forum but can't find the post...Anyway, good stuff!
  20. Finally got the boot build back together and near enough finished after having to dismantle it all to sort other issues. Crap pics for now...Neons, custom led boot lights, cig lighter torch all lit up, powered up and working. All lighting goes off when the boot lid closes. Digi volt gauge and compressor compartment temp gauge both working good. Tank pressure gauge working good. Just need to fit some perspex in the two compartments, fit my black screw head covers, and fit my Vw badge door handles on the side compartments. ---------- Post added at 3:03 AM ---------- Previous post was at 2:13 AM ---------- Whoops, forgot my silly little crap video! 21. Lol. It does. So how long has this place actually been running for anyway?
  22. Just noticed I've been on here since 2004 when I bought the G60, time has flown! Who else has been hanging around here for a good while?
  23. Nah, don't stop trying mate, it's all about everybody helping each other eh:afro:
  24. Lol, it's one of those things offset, even when you think you have it...You lose it again lol. Best way is to draw an imaginary line down the center of the wheel, and measure to the back mounting face. That's your et in mm.
