Is part no. same / compatible for all spoiler controllers ?
Riley replied to BigTartanJudge's topic in Interior
There are two different style connectors mate, early and late style. Then there are two more different modules that operate in km/h instead of mph. My 92 G60 has the later one...Same as vr6 and 2.0 16v. Mph Up to M chassis = 535 919 845B Mph after M chassis = 535 919 845C Kph up to M chassis = 535 919 845 Kph after M chassis = 535 919 845D Neil. :) -

Aye, it sits in the back of the disc after fitting the wheel bearing 8) Should come with the wheel bearing kit, mine always have anywayz  Neil.

Aye, the whistle noise comes from the bottom of the throttle body...But it actually eminates from the take off inside where the pipe runs to the carbon cannister. If you do away with the carbon cannister, and shorten/lenghten the now blocked off pipe on the throttle body, you can actually "tune" the whistle noise dependant on length 8) Leave it open for full annoying effect! All G60's sound different somehow...All unique. Neil.

Number 2 is a little back plate/cover that slides onto the stub axle, about £3 quid each so worth replacing (easy to do) 18 and 19 are seperate wheel bearing parts, if you buy the wheel bearing kit....they come with that. So just go for 2x wheel bearing kits.Number 23. Hope this helps mate. Neil. :)

I would have a look at the breather piping, its up inside the wheel arch. Maybe the valve inside the piping has become stuck, so its not releasing pressure... Neil.

On the top right of your fuse box, you will have around 4 black single pin connections...The rev counter feed runs through two of these iirc (can never remember) Pop them off 1 by 1 while its running to see if they have an effect on the gauge, when one of them does, just make sure its a nice fit back on the fuse box. As for your running problem...Not sure, i was going to suggest hall sender as mentioned earlier, so maybe borrow a coil from somewhere to try. May be breaking down. Neil.

Looking at them id say they don't have enough forward facing led's...led's are pretty directional. So really you need the main part pointing forward, and definately some pointing sideways/backwards. Yours look to have resistors already fitted. Neil.
-
You ideally need to go with LED bulbs that also have side/rear facing bulbs...They then bounce light off the standard reflector. Normal LED bulbs will solely depend on firing light out of the light unit, thats when you tend to end up with a circle of duller light. Neil.

Well...Corrado is now full of crap and sanding dust, but i have no water at the unit yet. Anyway, its ready for the road... Finished off the door, refitted handle/door card/window strip (crap pic) Fitted the new door speaker covers, no broken tabs at all! And fitted the new pressed plates, ive gone with british font and no banding... And thats it, just need to swap insurance over from the G60 which im gonna park for a while... Neil.

True  Just looks like its been in an accident  Gonna take em off at some stage, when i can be bothered. I replaced the rear geabox mount yesterday instead, so thats all the mounts done now with new genuine ones/nuts/bolts etc. 8) Slightly better gear change from 1st > 2nd and 3rd > 2nd. 8) Neil.

No scrubbing but yep, looks shat!

Cool, ill give Richard at Venom a bell 8) Cheers mate! Neil.

Aye, really happy with it, and even more happy with the torque curve...super smooth! Its on awesomes website somewhere, video and graph :) Its a nice tight engine, just a shame ive had/having so much grief with it :( Neil.
-
Neil, you can buy new adjusters / spring seats from venom..... They are not especially expensive and fit perfectly... Seems to be quite common on FK coilovers. Mark Cheers Mark 8) But i heard you could only get hold of new seats/collars for the newer style fk konigsports? Mine have been on for a few years now although not covered massive miles... Neil.

68mm pully. sns stage 5 chip Full blend charger. De-Cat on standard system. Self polished/ported throttle body. Sierra cosworth fmic. 4 year running problem. 206 @ the fly recorded at Awesome Gti. :) Standard block/internals. Neil.
-
Ill take the rears if they are going for nothing please? And the new front adjusters too! :) Mine have only been on for maybe 20k and the rear adjusters have dropped off in bits! :( They have been really well looked after too, gutted. The company i bought them from don't want to know, even after i explained that i have children in the car and its now dangerous with only the one spring seat! Neil.
-
Bum raah  Aye...I fitted them to try and totally eliminate the scrubbing which actually never really happens, just the odd time at speed on a motorway hitting a really bad bump etc...Its really minimal, especially with the rear discs machined down by 6mm but im just being overly fussy i guess. Looks sh|t thats for sure. :gag:

Ive added a Volksdevil Radio to the site, check it out! 8) Neil.

Some pics from recent meets... And i fitted some camber shims...But im gonna remove em i think because it looks utter crap. :gag:

Thats not the case at all if the carbs are in good working order... :) Its when the spindles etc become worn that they start getting a bit inconsistent. But they can be rebuilt easily enough...I ran mine for years without needing setting up once after the initial rolling road session. They were brand new carbs though. Id budget a rebuild in if you go secondhand. Neil.

Re:Pm on cgti, sorry mate im absolutely knackered but thought i should at least reply to try and help. Taping the wot switch does indeed either rule out a problem in the loom to both lambda and blue temp sender or show one up...But if that showed an improvement it would mean there is a problem with closed loop (warm running) or is it open loop, can never remember... Unless there is a very strange wiring problem! Anyway, you say its running badly pretty much straight away, so id be looking at the voltage you have at the fuel rail Ill see what diagrams/tests i can dig out for ya mate.No doubt ive got a few :bad-words:  Neil.
